Full Series Playthrough

Post » Mon Oct 17, 2011 12:00 am

Hey I was just curious will any of you be going a playthrough of Morrowind, Oblivion, and all of there dlcs before Skyrim comes out?

Btw when I say play through I mean main quest lines.

Yeah I know I'm leaving out Arena and Daggerfall I didn't think many people have access to those game but plus daggerfall would take a really long time to finish.

This would not be a full series playthrough, your leaving out Arena and Daggerfall.

However, I am in the process of doing everything on Oblivion again. Just the main quest and the Dark Brotherhood to go.

I did the main quest for Oblivion once. That was enough.

Skyrim is TES V. Not the letter v, but the Roman Numeral 5.

Just counting the games that are technically in the series. TES 1, TES 2, TES 3, ect.

We recently upgraded our XBOX 360 Elite for the XBOX 360 Slim (so much quieter!) and in the process I lost all my Oblivion saved games :( I will do them again no doubt but I don't know if I'll bother before I start Skyrim or wait till after I've finished Skyrim in like half a years time!

I'm currently playing through Morrowind again, intend to spend the next two weeks on it. Then I'll spend the final two weeks playing OB, finishing the MQ the morning of the 11th just before I go out to get Skyrim.

So true. I will never, ever close a single freaking oblivion gate again. Those things were so furstratingly boring it was a real struggle to close all of them.

its a great idea but man that would be a pain.. obliv alone getting up and running w all the needed mods to make it fun would be a pain to get going again..... but what would be nice is if there was a short writing somewhere that gave you all the history in a nutshell that we could breeze through. is there a writeup like this anywhere?

I dunno if there's enough time left for that starting from the beginning. I'm close to the end of Oblivion again, and I'd like to finish Battlespire, since it's the only one I haven't at least once, but I've been stuck at the last level for awhile because ghosts keep punching me into the lava.

Well, you apparently didn't know that "full series" meant everything, not just Morrowind and Oblivion.

It's like you told your wife: "I'm gonna clean the whole house!" And she says "great!"

And then two hours later you haven't touched the bathroom or the kitchen and you tell her "All done!"

She says "But the kitchen...the bathroom???"

And you say "I figure nobody will ever go in there again so I skipped it"

No offense to anyone who loves the first two, but it would be more like not cleaning the attic and the shed in the backyard. You go in there every now and again, but its not a big deal :P

Hell no. Oblivion is too broken to play without 10,000 mods and Morrowind is almost a decade old. I'm too busy playing other more recent games.

There's not nearly enough time for that!

I might squeeze a quick Morrowind one in though, it's been a while.

But to the common man or woman, the full series in a series of five things would be...never mind
