Fun placesquests to explore

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 11:17 am

Just running out of ideas of where to go and explore before going back to the main quest. Any good gun fight ones? Just curious if there is any I have been missing. I generally do most of the NCR side quests. I want to try out some of my new weapons I picked up today.

Vault 11 was surpisingly deadly.

Not most of it, which I went through As mid-level courier. But I went back there a few days ago, and found the secret chamber

beneath the Overseer's desk
.

Suffice it to say that it was a challenge getting out alive.

Yeah Vault 11 is great.

If you want to test out new weapons, the deathclaw promontory is worth a visit:

I assume you've already been to Black Mountain, but if not I recommend that too

You cant go wrong with exploring the vaults in the area. Most of them provide a good distraction for a long while. A favorite quest of mine is Bleed Me Dry I believe it is, which has you going all over the place for different types of eggs from different creatures and you get a pretty badass weapon as a reward. Dead Wind Cavern is also a blast to go in to. But be sure to be a higher level with armor piercing ammo, ( that usually helps me ). Other than that, just go explore. Theres plenty of stuff that remains undiscovered if your not exploring enough

Doing the quest in Deathclaw valley. Quickest way to level up. If you survive. And you can get two decent weapons there.

Dead Wind Cavern was pretty frightening. If you thought Deathclaws were hard out in the open, try fighting them in a 15'x15' cave!

Not to mention the Legendary Deathclaw, there.

Jacobstown and the mountians around it. It's a zoo of friendly supermutants and nightkin. It's sweet.

Probably the best advice is to look at your in game map and go where you don't have any fast travel points showing, look for the empty triangles on your compass and go explore. When you've found them all there won't be any blank spaces left on your map so, until then, you've got plenty to do  .

The Thorn, Vault 11 (loved the humor, quite similar to Portal), companion side quests especially Arcade, that Sunset Sarsaparilla factory as long as you have the caps.

Deathclaw Proximity is the most dangerous place I've ever been to. It was worth it though, now me and my companion have Enclave armor.
I really HATE Silver Peak Mine, even if it had the Enclave helmet. I HATE Cazadoors more than deathclaws.

flamer/incinerator for the cazadores works quite well, but is a heavy burden to carry requiring high strength and skill
