I′m from Sweden and am partially norweigan. I live in the south of Sweden and that part has been danish. Finland has been a part of Sweden. I win.

And she wasn′t named Nordstrom, but Nordstr?m. Roughly, northstream or nort current.

My name is Basing, it's English... and I'm Norwegian! How ironic. My moms name is Beate - try say it if you're English :)

Some of the first Scandinavians that came to America, including my Great-Great Grandparents, settled up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. To work in the Copper Mines. Nowadays, it is a GIANT WELFARE STATE up there. They shut the majority of mines down in 1967.

Well, we nords do like welfare, but prefer hard work!

My Ancestor on my father's side was from FInland, and his last name was Attio, or Auttio, but once he reached Ellis Island, the immigration board must have seen that he was from Scandinavia and just wrote down ANDERSON. So that has been my families last name since. My Ma's maiden name is Harjala, another Finlander name.

My surname is a modern-day pronunciation of Jarilo - god of fertility, vegetation and spring (the Nordic version is Freyr), who is son of PERUN - a Slavic name for THOR - god of thunder.

My nickname is Meadow, for reference to Jarilo... ^^
My mother's maiden name is Roiko - comes from Finland.
My grandfather's surnames is Gyermadi - it's Ugric

Also, I'm 1/16th Ugro-finnish! Yay for me.

My family are directly descended from Thor: I rest my case.

Harja means brush in finnish so Harjala is like Brushson ;D
