VM Fusion

I have a Macbook Pro, and I'm not a fan of Bootcamp, because I feel it wastes too much harddrive space and resources for the sake of one or two programs. I had the Morrowind suite a while back, and had given it away when I went Mac, but now the call of Vvardenfell beckons me, and I'd really like to get back into it. I'm also looking at getting Oblivion again as well. Has anyone used Fusion or Parallels, or any of the "run Windows windowed on Mac without rebooting" programs? Oblivion might be a stretch, but Morrowind isn't a demanding program anymore. I'm having a great time with Arena and Daggerfall, and I feel pangs of regret over giving away Morrowind and Oblivion two years ago. Any comments would be welcome.

It won't work... Virtual Machines usually lack 3d accelerator support.

Get an external hard drive or buy a higher capacity hard drive.

Crossover for Mac seems like a strong solution to the problem. After reading more about VMWare Fusion, it seems it still requires a full installation of Windows. This is still superior to Bootcamp because I'd need a variety of Windows versions to effectively run my desired library, but it's also still unsatisfactory because full installs of alternate OSs waste memory. Crossover works more like an emulator, allowing you to use software at the application level - Windows apps without Windows. According to their list of proven supported applications, Oblivion is rated a flawless emulation and Morrowind at fully functional but not quite optimal yet. What I might end up doing is as you suggest, and buy multiple harddrives. I could buy an XP harddrive for Mechwarrior 4 and its expansions, as well as Morrowind and expansions and Oblivion and expansions. If I go this route, I'll be guaranteed to be able to instal Oblivion's DLC - since I can only assume they made no effort at coming up with a friendlier DRM scheme than the XP only installer programs they used back when I first got them. When Elder Scrolls V comes out, I can assume it'll be for Windows 7, and get another external drive. Seems the best way to go. Thanks for the tips.
