Future DLC to take place in NCR?

Post » Fri Feb 12, 2010 7:41 am

So one thing I've noticed with the game is mention of some location called 'the loop' or something to that nature (I know Ranger Ghost is one of the folks who mentions it) and the Mojave Outpost has a 'Requires Key' lock on it, and the road down the Mojave Outpost looks pretty detailed. Now, maybe it's just so it enhances the detail of the map visually, but I kind of get a feeling that road is going to be opened up in a future DLC.

Anyone else notice these things/have an opinion on this?

There are currently at least 3 exits from the map, so yeah, the Mojave Outpost could very well be another one. Maybe a Point Lookout style system?

The Loop? Never heard of it, but I do hope we get to go into NCR territory, hit 'em right where it hurts; bastards :chaos:.

Then I'll travel to Obsidians studio and eat their receptionist.

Possibly, because most doors that are never meant to be opened are put into to text: INASSECIBLE when the cursor is over them. (spelling?)

I hope its not NCR influenced, I've had enough of them in the main game truthfully.

@Gabe - Could you bring some back in a doggie bag?

Sure, just hope she doesn't have any metal in her body so that I can get her through the airport.

That road would be heading towards Hub if I remember right.

If it is a DLC in NCR lands I hope its a New Location. Baja might be to far away. Still would be nice to find out what theses "ghosts" are that the rangers are hunting down there.

Id like a legion dlc cause hey more disgusting useless mole rats to slaughter cause me and boone and the brush gun are having trouble finding them lately so our aims a little off so we need some practice :( but NCR dlc would be cool

there are 3 places for an expansion, the mojave outpost, the canyon wreckage and the northern passage. :) but heres something crazy : every1 says that honest hearts will be in zion national park, and it will be an open area like Point Lookout, BUT, zion national park is east of las vegas, none of those places lead east o.o, unless in fallout world west is east, (like maybe the map is from their perspective) lol.

West?
Canyon Wreckage leads west.
But it has "Lonesome Road" written in spraypaint on nearby debris.

i ment east. o.o my... fault... nd yeah, i no, its crazy, i cant wait till they do something with that o.o

so does the mojave outpost (south west) and the grand canyon is south east of las vegas.... so maybe the map is flipped? like, its from different players perceptive? idk, that would be weird... its weird....

Well, there's nothing stopping Northern Wreckage from going a bit north then east, it's not like the grid has to be linear to one direction.
And since the river and mountains are towards the east it's a bit hard to place a grid there.
Still, we could always have an NPC take us there, like how Abandoned BOS Bunker took us towards Sierra Madre despite not being at the border of the map. :)

i agree with you but the sierra madre isn't a geographical location in the world, lol, idk i think it would be weird to go north to the grand canyon, when the grand canyon is east of were we are, maybe an ncp could take us there.. but then i dought they'll let us bring companions back that way. :( theres always a possibility that they didn't build new vegas exactly were las vegas was.... even tho mr. house said he did.... :sadvaultboy:

btw, u said northern wreckage. lol.... :D its northern passage or canyon wreckage, idk y i pointed that out, but i felt like i had to... lmao

1. It isn't? I was sure that during the speculation about Dead Money people found IRL locations for it. (Maybe not an "actual casino" there but still.)
2. I don't think it would feel "too" weird. Like, imagine standing in front of a building, now, you want to go to the right of the building when staring at it, but it's path is blocked by oh let's say killer cheese doodles, what's the smartest way to go? Left, then right, then right.
The east is blocked by a river and mountains and Legion (if you're vilified by them.).
So instead of going directly east you make a detour to go north then east. At least that's what I would do if I wished to avoid Legion. ;)
3. Ah, sorry about that, never been very interested in that location so never learned the name.

okay, ok.

1. no, its not a real place, lol.
2. i thought of that too, but thats a lot of walking..... lol, but then again we could go to the west and cross the whole world and end up at the grand canyon eventually... lmfao
3. those are the locations im most interested in. ;)
