THIS IS NOT A SUGGESTION THREAD. This is simply to establish what general area fans of the series would prefer. Please do not make suggestions for a specific city. If you do, I ask others not to respond to the lone gunman. There are a number of large cities in each Time Zone. Ie: Atlanta in the Eastern Time Zone,, Dallas in the Central Time Zone, or Anchorage in the Alaska/Hawaii Time Zone.

This is to help narrow down a specific time zone and to more accuratley calculate which area to narrow down for the developers. Lets face it, Bethesda listens to their fans, and a concetrated topic such as this is a much better way than simply naming cities.

NOTE: The Fallout series is centered on a 1950's Americana vibe and it would not make sense to the series to take it out of the United States. This is not prejudace against other countries, ie: you wouldnt make a World War 2 game set in Mexico because it did not effect Mexico.

Post what you will, but be aware that this will be locked if it goes into specific suggestions. Simply post the major cities located in the Time Zone location you are defending and why.

Well the war in the Fallout universe affected and heavily involved China, America, Europe and the Middle East so no, under your statement the poll should include more than America. Besides, who wants to play in America for another FO? I think it would be very interesting to play in and find out about China.

It may have affected areas other than the US, but the series itself is centered on a 1950s American vibe. There are no other games that are set even remotley near another country. How would a 1950s American setting take place outside of America? The entire reason this time period was chosen is because it was uniquely American. No other country in the world had the culteral revolution that the US did during that period. Interplay stated multiple times that creating a Fallout outside of the US would make the series anti-Fallout. The whole inspiration in making the game was to look at what America could be in a post nuclear world. Any game set outside of the US would not be a Fallout game because it would be a different setting completley, not just in gameplay and the world, but the culture would change so much that it might as well be a different intellectual property. I shouldnt have to spell out to you the cultural understanding behind the setting of a game, and how important it is to a specific series. If Kratos from "God of War" was fighting off Native American deities, you couldnt well call it God of War because it was desposed on a GREEK GOD!

I also suppose you think an Elder Scrolls game should take place in the World of Warcraft universe? hmmm?
