Don't we have this sort of thread all ready? BTW: They will NEVER remake games.

Not if you count the Summerset Isle Expansion Thread. Todd Howard also had an interview recently stated: he would like to remake daggerfall as it should have been if it were not the technology they were using at the time

Can't vote because I don't want DLC. I want an expansion pack. That said, I really don't care about a location, I just want a huge expansion pack similar to shivering isles.

The game itslef hasn't even come out yet, and you want to discuss DLC's?

If you want somthing added to the game, you should make a thread about what you would like. I doubt Betheda is even thinking about Skyrim DLC's atm.

Daggerfall remake? That would take an eternity, and Bethesda isn't the type of game company to live in the past, they're about moving forward.
All High Rock? Why would they do such a thing? They could make a whole game in High Rock, why ruin it with a little DLC? Even if it was a full fledged SI expansion, it couldn't get the attention it deserved.
I guess Blacklight would be okay, but meh.

Since they probably won't do a big SI-style expansion, I'll just ask for a few KotN-style DLC and be happy.

Every time a DLC thread pops up someone says this. Why? It's to discuss the little extra things, like major quest lines that aren't going to make it into the main game. The Shivering Isles was a big thing for Oblivion, as were the expansions for Morrowind, and Knights of the Nine was awesome. It's not at all ridiculous to be thinking about DLC, given how awesome DLC has been for the series in the past.

Yes, reffering to the town and not the whole game. Should be more clear in the poll option maybe.

Orsinium or some place in the Dragontail mountains would be a cool area to explore.

I seriously do not think they'll use ANY of the other provinces for a DLC, especially not now that we know we they are going to be smaller FO3 sized DLC. Why would they do a half-assed job of adding in a province in a DLC when they could use the same province for a full Elder Scrolls game later?

So, it frustrates when these topics pop up and the polls are always about adding in new areas.

I'm going to take a different slant on this and say that Bethesda are going to go in a different direction with DLC this time. Rather than new areas or even quests, I think they might throw us a curve ball and add 'features'. Things like dragon mounts, new Guilds, new spells (or different ways of combining them), new weapon types (spears)

My reasoning is that we have heard, several times, in interviews / podcasts about features that they are looking to add, but they don't know if they can pull it off, so they aren't promising that those things will be in the game (i.e spell combos, spears, dragon mounts, to name just a few off the top of my head). But if they get those things to a, say, 80% state of completion, wouldn't it make sense to spend a bit more time after 11.11.11 to get them honed and finished, then release them as DLC?\

Just a thought....

I'd like to see an extended quest-line that goes post-game. As in, you become a high ranking noble or something and the quest follows you as an advisor, or even king. Fable 3 did a terrible job with this, but hey, they did horribly at everything else too. :P I'm sure TES could do it well.

Well Daggerfall was their best game IMO. They might not live in the past but their moving forward has left bad taste in many fans mouths. The lack of options in Quest with the lack of Role play in their Oblivion and Fallout really hurt their rep. I know I was not the only one that was pissed of about they quest system and fast travel. Yes Daggerfall had a fast travel system close to oblivion but in Daggerfall I would be stopped in my tracks by ambushes. Daggerfall also had morrowind travel system as well. Hiring guides and stuff. Now I will still by Skyrim for the Dragon alone. Have a large chunk of your staff spend over two years making dragons. That tells me that the dragons will work. Not like other rpg that push out their finish game in less then 2 years. *glares at biowares with pure hate.* I just hope they can bring back the role play quest system. I do not want to magicly know where everything and everyone is at. I wan to run around asking gaurd. Asking people. I want my game to feel like I am in the world. Not just look preatty but feels like I am a stranger to this land. If I need to find something I need to ask around for it. I need to take notes.

As for DLC I hope they do not make any. I agrea with you. Morrowind and Oblivion had large expations. Something you could not burn out in 1 - 2 hours. When I hear DLC I think over price mod. Hell I will take a play made mod over a company DLC any day of the week. I not looking forword to spending 10+ dollars for about 30 mins of game play. I should hope that they do not lean to the xbox community and just slap some crap together then shove it on their website and demand you pay them for this [censored]. Really 95% of all DLC companies should be paying you to play the DLC as they are so bad.

Expansion pack that adds Daggerfall areas.
NOTE:Daggerfall didn't comprise only of Daggerfall, you know. So many places and areas you're bound to get lost.

I wouldn't mind a daggerfall remake or a current hammerfall since that would be more immersive but it is a big province and since daggerfall had two provinces (not full) it would be a very big dlc if that would be even classified as a dlc or even a expansion

I give you a hint: It's HIGHLY improbable, and surely simply impossible that there will be a DLC that remakes or creates an entire region. New regions have always been only for new TES games, and most surely that will be always the way.

Apart from that, I wouldn't mind a nice, knightly castle, like Centurion or mr_silka's ones.

Judging by their comments about the Fallout 3 sized DLC, it looks like a Daggerfall remake as a DLC is the only way forward for them.

All those threads abour DLCs are encouraging Bethesda to release them.9 out of 10 DLC's are puny little things, nothing was worth even 1 $ other than SI.
There's nothing wrong with demanding additional content, but please ask for "Expansions" and not DLCs.
Using the word "Expansion" instead of DLC would give Bethesda an idea of what we want,so please...

High Rock would be cool. I think its about the same size as shivering isle, correct me if Im wrong :)
Its right next to skyrim so that could make sense,

But...! it would be even cooler to set sail north on a boat facing huge sea monsters in your wake.. much later you land on an island with a big dragon head statue its called leafy and you have to escape the island by feeding the dragon your crew members :disco:

Who in the world is voting for High Rock? Save provinces for the official games. DLC won't do it justice.

I Thought that to but what other options will they have? Nothing South, one prospect in Morrowind, Save Hammerfell for a new chapter, So i think it is High Rock or Anything up North. But i do agree that a DLC won't do it justice

I really hope that Bethesda only releases expansion packs for The Elder Scrolls. Small DLC may work best for Fallout, but it just wouldn't feel right buying 5-6 different DLC for Skyrim.

Er yeah, no provinces in DLC please. I'd be perfectly happy with another Daedric Prince based DLC. I'm extremely curious about what Azura's realm (the one with all the roses) would be like or even Clavicus Vile's.
