I do, but I use a lot of extra mods and always like to double check!



Me too :) I made a text file of my non-conflicting load order and the mods am using with FWE so whenever i experiment and things dont go right i always use it to set things right again without having to second guess. It sure does get blurry at times switching back and forth between FOMM and the list though. Thank goodness i dont get headaches from flashing screens :wacko:

Well FO-3 is wipped, my saves backed up.

almost every mod is ready to install, FWE 5.0 I still D/L though.(40 mins left!!)

Need to reinstall FO-3 now.

I am in the middle on Project bueaty, and EVE.

Eve is just a large file, and thats why I passed on it, but I may get it tonight.

P.B on the other hand scares me, it says I need the GECK, and I hate fooling with it, it looks very complacted to install.

No, it is not. Including such mods will make upgrading from previous versions more unpredictable.
But you can download such mods from Nexus (search for "Delay") and load them AFTER FWE in the load order.
You will need to start new game for effect.

  • Built-in Delay DLC mod improves the immersion of DLC quests

As far as I know you only need the GECK if you want to change the hairs on the NPC's to something else. Then again I've been wrong before ;)

I just grabbed this over the weekend and like Janbonde said the GECK part is if you want to make some custom hair yourself, I didn't bother. The distinctive red hair was the only way I recognized the new woman in Craterside Supply was Moira.

EVE is pretty cool, I read about it and it didn't sound like something I would even use. But I got it on a whim right after Project Beauty and I'm glad I did.

will I got it all, P.B is the only thing left D/Ling 35 mins left.

Installing FO-3 atm, then Patch, then DLC.

then Ill start to install mods, there is only a few I have to do by hand (I prefer them installed that way) like type 3 and its parts and the hair and eyes packs.

I have some issues with 5_01 release:

I'm pretty sure something is up with Vats as I seem to be able to hit far too good with my very low Small Guns skills. From very far away trying to shoot a raider with a 10mm submachine gun, 18 in the skill, 5 in perception I get a hit chance in the torse of 70%. Clearly that can't be right. What's the point of increasing the skill then if I already hit everything with a rather crappy long distance weapon? Anyone else getting this besides Olafreinhardweyer and me? I can upload a screenshot to show just how long the distance is if needed.

EDIT: Seems Delamer got the same thing. Then we just need to figure out whether it's FWE or a conflict with the other mods we're loading.

Yes EVE is amazing in a horrific gotta watch way :P Nothing like seeing a raider sizzled into steaming hot charred coaled flesh in mid air as they're jumping down the stairs then break apart in a smouldering heap as they hit the ground :D

Just a word of warning though sometimes perhaps due to some sort of mesh texture and collision FALLOUT 3 freezes on me when using EVE. This has happened in the past too but not all the time. Might be due to new updates bringing the problem back. Right now am leaving EVE uninstalled and have yet to freeze or have slight pauses along hillish roads. Could have been the last FOIP patch update the other day since i didnt have this problem with the previous version with EVE-FWE-MMM etc.

Yes i seem to be too much of a good shot aswell with a lazer pistol when just starting out as a regulator and taking out the nearby raider base across from the Regulators headquarters. Hunting rifles in poor condition hit great from super far distances but totally stink in close range combat which makes sense but perhaps the great long range fire may need some tweaking. can you FOMM Project beauty and have no issues?

I am installing right now.

Here is what I have done.

remove fallout 3, delete folder

Install fallout 3
Install DLC
Install patch

Install FOSE
Install FOMM
Install all mods with FOMM besides type 3 body and hair/eyes.
Left Eve out.

Not tried loading yet, not all the way done prepping the game and my PC.

Any archive can be installed with help of FOMM PManager. If this archive contain DATA folder in the root (or data subfolders)- this archive is FOMOD compatible

All mods but a few done by FOMM (project bueaty installed with FOMM) I installed eyes and hair by hand, and the body.

CCcleaner, defrag and opt. (autologics defrag)

Load order, I know its not right, but I started going cross eyed trying to figure it out

Just gonna do a complete wipe again tomorrow and leave Project Bueaty out, as well as mika and the type three outfit convrsions.

I know its not a few problem, sorry.

Hopefully I can get it working again, too many things installed at once to pinpoint the problem.

titan357 do you get the mismatched colors ingame or just during character creation? I get a hand which is a dark tanned brown compared to my chosen paler white skin tone on the body in the Alternate Start shack. After i create my character and enter the game world i save, exit and reload once am back in the game and not the character creation area all the colors are correct.

Yea reinstalling while looking forward to the fun end result is the best way to keep ones mood cheery :D

Accuracy doesn't seem to be effected by the the condition of the weapon outside of VATs either. My character seems way to accurate to have only a 41 skill in small guns with a hunting rifle that has been repaired to only about 25%. I don't see the sway or spread like i did in FWE 4.1.1

So finally got this darn thing stable again.

Yes for leveling being off I had to regain exp to get the meter working right. Had to ditch a few town mods and Stutter Remover - just wasn't cooperating. A few load order tweaks. Although what am I to make of the town mods working with version 4.11 but not 5,01? Ah well as usual the overhaul wins.

So then With the current game I go pick up dogmeat and have not played with him since an earlier version. I recal him being pretty tough.

Now, he is really really weak and if I don't tell him to wait all the time he gets killed. A raider with an axe, a raider with a 32 pistol, supermutants - forget it. With the way the revival is set up he is a stimpack sponge. Is there any chance that in the future a menu option can be added to make it so that he does not soak up so many stimpacks?

My character can survive the wasteland each day with no more than 4-5 stimpacks per day (maybe triage twice) by planning encounters and keeping his head down.

Is there a way to craft stimpacks?

A good rule of thumb is to only install one mod at a time (or a mod combination, like FWE/MMM/WMK).

Is there a way to craft stimpacks?

Not in FWE I don't think.
