Hey devs - thank you from the bottom of my heart for wonderful mod! Just became level 4 and built my character according to Titan's recommendations.
I've read that unofficial patch is causing a great deal of problems to the mod. Can I simply uncheck the unofficial patch in fomm to not play with it or is uninstall of the patch needed (maybeafter uninstallation I need to install the mod/s anew??)?

You can uncheck UF3P- it will be enough. Don't forget to uncheck FWE-UF3P CP too.

I am happy with that build, Barter/small guns/repair but prepare for a massive amount of caps unless you buy everything, I have over 20K caps sitting around. Makes it easy to wipe the docs and traders for ammo/stims when you don't have enough, and have no tech to turn in.

If you find you're self getting frustrated, and killed easy, remember that build is a all rounder, not a pure combat spec build like my next build guide will contain, use cover and the other tips in that little guide and you should be able to make it.

I use P/A and keep some tech back for repairs to it.


I have a pretty good idea for my next time using big guns / repair / explosives ready, and then a sneak / energy weapons / something I am think about, I do not use that patch, and have had no troubles.

That's wonderful news! Was afraid I would maybe had to reinstall everything anew.

Titan, yes this is the first time I was able to get so much money from the beginning - previously I haven't payed any attention to barter and I was always broke spending everything I had on purchasing ammo which was always in great need. As for you current problem of having to much caps you'll be happy to know that in 5.0 version you can set the sell/buy rate in-game and thus make your caps harder to get also if paying a lot of attention to barter skill. Can't wait to read your next tips Titan!

8) how are some of you all doing with FWE and MMM while playing a sneaking type person? weight limit (not went to 5.0 yet) was rather limited even with 9-STR and power armor.


Well I also use Antistars Dragonskin Tactical Outfit, along with my own patch. I opened it up with FWE in the GECK and pumped up the DR so that it's just below Power Armor but above ever other armor in the game. It worked out pretty good, but I haven't tested it for FWE 5 because I started a new character and it'll be awhile before I can even afford the DTO.

Story time:
I grabbed Version 5 right away, but I couldn't resist the urge to take a quick peek under the hood before firing it up. Well that quick peek ended up taking 2 days and I didn't actually start playing until late last night. I started a new game and chose the Regulator Alt Start. (because in the beginning a raiders finger is worth more to me than their gear.) Armed with a combat knife I decided to checkout the nearby raider-infested armory. I tangled with the guard a bit but did not attract attention, I then snuck into the compound. I managed to get to the ruined building and was attempting to sneak along it's base when it occurred to me that I should have waited until nightfall, then I was spotted. (Bad Day!) I went to some nearby stairs where I ran into a few raiders that I quickly (very quickly) dispatched with my knife. I turned and saw an increased-spawns-sized hoard coming at me all armed for close quarters combat from my own Savage Wasteland. (You'd think taking away their guns would make the fight easier) The swarmed me, I hit one and ran up the stairs, hit another and ran some more. (Bad Day! Bad Day! Bad Day!) I tried to back-peddle and attack at the same time but that doesn't work. (FWE saw to that) So I ran and jumped off the edge of the structure (OUCH!!) which gave me enough breathing room to get up on an old truck and regain my AP. Now I was in trouble, they couldn't get up to me, (someone really should fix that) but I also couldn't get down to them either. I was thinking about my next move when I heard the distinctive pop pop pop of a 10MM pistol.(so they weren't all melee :evil: ) I went into VATS and got a good look one by one by one by one by one? until I found the shooter (time to find out what all the hype was about this EVE.) I switch to my laser pistol and queue up 2 shots to Mr. Shooters chest and 1 to his head. (Wow!! There's actually a black and smoking hole in the guy!!) He's down but another runs over to pickup the dropped pistol, (zap zap) then another, (zap) and another.. I quickly realize that I'm going to use up all my ammo trying to keep them away from that gun. Then I see a raider not going for the gun, because she has a DEATHCLAW GAUNTLET!! (why oh why did I give them access to deathclaw gauntlets) Okay, here's my chance to try out this Bullet Time feature I've heard so much about. Slo-Mo jump off the truck, headshot to Ms. Deathclaw, loot the body, turn and grab the loose pistol set my sights on the guy I hope has the ammo when bullet time runs out and I run right past him. No time to go back they are still coming!! I back up on a fallen pillar letting them bring themselves to my newly acquired toy. (that would be the deathclaw gauntlet :rock:) They are bottle necked at the base of the pillar/ramp, (I may just live through this) I go into VATS to get a quick count because I don't know how long I can do my Run-Turn-Swipe-Run maneuver when I see one winding up to throw a... Molotov Cocktail!!? Quick weapon switch to shoot the Molotov (That worked out well) and I'm on the defensive again, though there are considerably less raiders than before. I'm able to bring 2 more down before hopping down through the floor to a lower level. It'll take them a few minutes to figure out where I went and how to get down to me. I'll take this chance to leave and head back to the Regulator Hideout, I need to rest and heal before I come back for the rest.

You only need an armor if you're going to get shot ;) My stealthy character uses only the Wasteland Legend outfit, and sometimes the Chinese Stealth Suit.

So far so good, a silenced Lever Action Rifle has proved lethal against even Super Mutants. BTW, does FWE include new sniper rifles? I've only seen the standard one so far.

What weapons count as sniper rifles? I have the perk that says you do 50% more damage with a sniper when not in vats.
Does a weapon like the hunting rifle with a scope count? or is it a limited list?


what is, Project Beauty and Craft helper?

and what body mods/replaces are others using with no problems?

I'm not sure on this one in particular, but every other perk like this uses a list. I believe there is a FOSE funtion that can tell when the player is actually using a scope, outside of that I don't know how the game could tell the difference between a sniper style rifle and a non sniper one.

Project Beauty changes the way faces look in the game, it makes the people look a little more like people.

I go in hoping to not be seen or heard, but never expecting it. When the guano hits the fan I like to have a little more protection than just my good looks.

Any will work, they just replace meshes and textures that FWE doesn't touch.

I just started Operation Achorage, and right after using one of those health restoring thingies my characters hunger and thirst shot to 100% (from <10%) along with the penalties they bring. I suspect this is not how it should work?

its in the change log, they fill P.N cause there is no food.


But it did the opposite, my character is starving and dying of thirst.

Can you give to me your save just before simulation or right after simulation's beginning?
I don't see any mistakes in the scripts. Do you use latest version from FOIP page?

You might want to update the menu based picking & hacking part. I've updated it to use your formulas (and fixed one bug in the script), but more importantly, the previous version had a major fix for doors where if the linked door was the one that was locked you couldn't open it with the key if your had it, only by picking it. I've also allowed users to choose between both picking & hacking/picking only/hacking only/none of the above.

After upgrading to 5.0 I've got a problem: after dumping my whole inventory my pipboy says I'm carrying 83 in weight, while in reality it's only 1 (observer from the Moira quest). I tried the console command "player.restoreav carryweight" but that didn't help. Has anyone any idea how to solve this?

carryweight- this is max weight, which you can carry
You need InventoryWeight
Also, you need to damage your weight
So- try this
player.damageav InventoryWeight
