AA or FXAA? Also, what is Decal Quantity?

Hello,

I am confused, after looking at the launcher graphic settings.

1) In the launcher we can choose normal AA (off, 2, 4, 8) but there is also a little box in the 'Advanced..' -> 'Details' tab called FXAA. Can someone please tell me that if I click FXAA will it replace 'normal AA'? or will it add FXAA to the already existing normal AA? It makes no difference FPS-wise whether I click it or not as I still seem to get a constant 60fps with vsync on with my GTX 580 but I am curious.

2) Decal Quantity - what does this do? On ultra setting it is still left to 'none'. I have google'd this and cannot find an answer.

Thanks in Advance.

Decals are things like when you hit the ground or wall, it makes a texture showing damage. More is better.

FXAA is a diff kind of AA that is way less system hogging...if you are doing fine with normal AA, leave FXAA on as it will tend to blur things a bit. Others are saying use FXAA instead of normal AA to help with performance..but this isn't needed if you aren't having problems.

Actually it seems to look pretty clear to me, its not that crappy aa that crysis 2 or reach used, this one looks pretty clear and still yields a performance gain.
