Assassin's Creed beats Battlefield (I'm assuming Battlefield refers to the entire series, including 1942)
Gears beats Final Fantasy? What the [censored]?

Gaming isn't what it used to be. I suppose that's a side effect of it (not to sound like a hipster) "going mainstream". We live in an age where the industry is defined by Call of Duty and WoW. People voted for Assassin's Creed because Battlefield is a 'ripoff of CoD' in their eyes. Gears of War beats Final Fantasy because Gears is the pre-CoD crowd that could care less about Japanese emo children, and Mortal Kombat beats metroid, I guess that's fair because Nintendo is slowly killing its good franchises.

What we're left with are Elder Scrolls, probably the most fantastic game I've played next to Mass effect 2, and StarCraft, which is probably being driven by Blizzard's sizable consumer base. So many WoW fans...

How bout we put a better vote... One's an RTS and one's and RPG.... How bout whats looks better so far, Witcher 2 or Elder Scrolls V

I am a major fan of starcraft yet Id take the elder scrolls over starcraft anyday.

Why are they comparing such different games? Comparing strategy with RPG?

The poll doesn't make much sense, they should compare games of the same genre.

That 'tournament' is a joke. It isn't even trying to compare the franchises especially since it added games that have only 2-3 titles and have only been around about 4 years.

Is this some kind of bracket thing because I can think of no good reason why these two series would be compared against each other. in reality neither are close enough in game types to say one is better than the other, but since this is just a popularity contest SC will probably win, the koreans have better internet than us and we know how the feel about SC there, but who knows, maybe its an unknown fact that they like TES better? probably not. oh well.

What's next? Diablo vs Crysis? Gran Turismo vs Tekken? Gaming journalism is getting worse each day.

Damn it, but looks like this will be Assassin's vs Mass Effect... Love both, but they are not good enough to be the best game franchise ever... Star Craft is a decent competitor, it wouldn't be a shame to lose here. Anyways, there's still fallout out there :fallout:

Voted for ElderScrolls obviously! I honestly can't see how StarCraft is winning.. Sure if it was Diablo it may be considerably harder to vote for but, to me Elderscrolls is much more rich lore wise and it always keeps to it(primarily).

TES definitely. Starcraft is just a knockoff of Total Annihilation anyways. TA made in 1997, SC made in 1998. I still play TA, because it is the best. It's the original, the first RTS made. There is still a devoted modding community to it, a 13 year old game. Starcraft is a bad knockoff. If somehow you like Starcraft, you'll never stop playing TA.
