Galaxy News Network

So definitely seeing an easy way to incorporate three dog back into fallout. Besides the tweet a while back about how he was doing voice work for the next fallout game some years ago, it would make sense from a story perspective. The brotherhood of steel have practically retaken all of dc from the enclave after fallout 3 and broken steel. They are spreading outward now with immense strength (the zeppelin and just massive amounts of b.o.s armed forces in the trailer) and with that the one person who spreads the message of the good fight. While Three Dog may or may not be in the gnr building in dc (which would make it hard to report on news in boston, such as the worlds reaction to the players actions and decisions) but we do have a poster up that shows that before the great war galaxy news network was in fact broadcasted in Boston. It would only make sense for there to be another gnr building. The potential is all here, and i know bethesda will do this perfectly.

Nothing suggests those are BoS.

In fact, the lack of any marks heavily suggests its not BoS, because the BoS puts their logo on everything.

If they bring Three Dog's annoying ass voice and preachy garbage back I'll sooner listen to youtube while playing.

Or they'll include the option of a music only broadcast. Nice when you didn't want to listen to Mr. New Vegas ramble about Nuclear Winter Wonderland for the 500th time. Before it played Johnny Guitar for the 20th time that hour.

Just turn off the radio or install one of the mod radio stations that will turn up.

Maybe it's a t.v. Show? Remember the Fallout t.v. Trademark a long time ago? Maybe this is it.

My name fits so well! Yes, I hope I return hahah. No but really Three Dog was awesome and if he returns, sweet. If not, it'd also be nice to hear a new, refreshing voice.

I usually modded the stations with more music. I did like the commentary from Three Dog and Mr New Vegas but if I heard "Big Iron on His Hip" one more time I was going to lose it. I had it modded with so many songs that it was actually nice when I eventually heard a repeat like "Atomic Cocktail" (those who have modded will know the song) or something.

Prior to getting on the PC where I could mod his ass out, it became a mandatory mission fro every character I started to assassinate him as soon as possible.

About the music. Bethesda really aren't very imaginative on this one. The should open Zenimax's bank vault a bit and commission some bands to come up with some sort of music that would fit a retro-future in the year 2077.

Just ripping stuff from the 30s/40s/50s is getting old.

BoS would be in direct conflict with The institute. The would want to take over every bit of their tech and "safeguard" it. The institute wouldnt yield an inch and would rather put down every living thing in DC than give it up.

Why so much hate for Three Dog? Outside of sending me to get a dish relay before telling me where James went I like me. He is my favorite thing about FO3.

The west coast BoS would be in conflict, but Lyons doesn't seem to care that much.

First of all, I hate pointless busywork in main quests when the npc is being obtuse on purpose to get what they want.

Secondly, his dialogue was atrocious. "Wee I'm fightin' the good fight lawl!"

Thirdly, I hate his horrid fake-Morgan Freeman accent.

Malcom Macdowell on the other hand I could listen to all day. Bring back President Eden I say.

I don't hate him but he was a useless character IMO. He "fought the good fight" by telling people how to survive, using a radio station that no one could listen to, how is that helping? The Brotherhood of Steel fights and dies to defend a useless radio station yet they abandoned Project Purity

Three Dog also sends you on a mission based on a lie, he doesn't know where James is located.

I also just found it annoying that he would know everything about what I was doing and give the same update a billion times throughout the game.

PP didn't work. GNR served as a useful hub for launching raids against the super mutants in downtown D.C.

Makes sense they would give up the useless for the useful.

Did you miss all the radios all over the game world tuned into his station?

To be fair people could listen before the Mutants shot his relay.

He had he was headed to Rivet City. Which is was right about but you get there after he left for vault....whatever number it was I believe 112(?)

He got someone stalking you from the shadows silly.

Because he's a complete [improper language] that lies to a kid to swindle them into going into the most hostile area ( you're a teenager) in the wastelands to get parts for his antenna.

... yes. I utterly despise the character.

People could listen to it before it before it was destroyed that is true but his advice is useless. "Ghouls are people too" and "raiders are bad." WOW great help there.

Now if he was giving advice on how to make ammo, treat wounds, what plants are safe to eat, how to clean water, movements of various groups, anything that is actually useful then I would say he would have a good reason to be around.

The Brotherhood of Steel could have protected the area if they really needed it, without defending Three Dog. But then I guess it could be said they just tolerated the guy.

But I see no reason to have him back for more useless advice and pointless updates. "Hey people, water is wet. Tune in this time tomorrow for some more helpful information."

Yeah but what does that have to do with anything? How do pro ghoul messages make him such an awesome character? And if most people in DC don't like ghouls they why would they listen to a guy who does like ghouls. Seems counter intuitive to me. Like someone who is deeply on one side of the political spectrum listing to a radio program that is very much on the other side.
