Alexander Scalatti

Alex nodded at the scribe, "Even if you put a word to the Lone Wanderer, his assistant will still eat me alive. You see, he is rouge, but I am forced to listen to everything he says."

Alex dug his foot into some dirt, "He has threatened my wife before...and I dont want her to get hurt."

Evelyn Marx

Evelyn's mind flashed back to when William was nearly killed by a Raptor insurgent and realized how painful it is to see a loved one nearly get kill. She smiled. "Alright. By the way, my fiance will stop by at Vault 101 again so keep an eye out for him and send him my regards."

Vicente

Vicente stopped again while he closed his book and placed a little bookmark where he had left off. He turned around to see a poorly disguised man of unknown, but likely Brotherhood origin.

" Your methodology is quite sad. I'm not your typical Raptor, because I'm not brain dead. Take your gun down and stop your arguement. Yes, I'm from Raptor Death Squad, and to answer any doubts, I can kill you."

The man continued holding his aim.

" I'm not here to fight. I had my fun. Unless you want me to plant a nice hole in your head for your girlfirend, Evelyn, I believe, then I suggest you keep your weapon. You see, we're alike in many aspects. We both fight for our own cause, and we both fight for what we believe is good. I believe in freedom, you believe in order. I believe in order, but only in the logical sense. I prefer anarchy to what the Brotherhood has in store for us all. You may be asking yourself, who is this madman? I'm a human, just like you. Simple answer, my good man. It is simply a difference of belief. To perhaps lower the tension, I'm Vicente Pizarro. You might happen to be? " He dragged on.

Vicente may have not had the best people skills, but he was a talented orator in every sense.

"Ah I see you're not like those other Raptors. This will make things much more interesting."

He stared at Vicente for quite some time before giving off a little smirk. "And you seem to do your job very well. Yes, Evelyn is my fiance...and I'll be damned if I let a Raptor even touch her."

William took out his Glock19 and shot three rounds straight at Vicente, aiming for non-vitals to try and take him alive.

Alexander Scalatti

Alex shook the scribe's hand,

"Thanks for the help Ms." Alex looked at her name tag "Marx, I will be leaving now since..well..I dont trust that guy, but the next time I come, I will stay for a while."

Alex signed his name on the "people who were here" list and left the citadel. He turned onto the main road and headed toward Vault 101.

Vicente simply smiled and slowly pulled out the looted laser rifle, firing shots around the strangers face to blur his vision using the heat emissions coming from the streaks. He felt three rounds enter his combat armor.

" It wasn't the most recommendable idea, but it wasn't something to fuss over. I'll have to insure that if I ever get the pleasure of meeting Evelyn, not a single man will touch her. As for you, I could not care less." He remarked.

Sidestepping to the burnt-out heap of an old bus, Vicente fired some shots at an old car, setting off a small explosion. The highway bridge began to creak.

MONK

Hmmmm. Looks like I got that guy all wrong. Monk thought, as he watched the newcomer strip one of the raptor corpses, change into the clothes and disappear after the survivor. Maybe he would've been worth talking to after all. Oh well, too late now.

Monk slowed as he approached the bodies the fleeing raptor had left. He could see where the guy's knife had punched through the visor of the corpse's helmet. That took some strength. Or real skill. Monk had to admit to himself that he was impressed.
Sarah had told him she had seen the guy planting something on the bodies. Can't be to careful. Monk stooped down and picked up a loose piece of concrete from the ground.
He turned to the Brotherhood squad. "Don't mean no disrespect for the dead here guys." He shouted over to them. "I gotta check them though."
He threw the rock overarm and it sailed in an arc and struck the body with the perforated helmet in the chestplate. For a second nothing happened, then the corpse was ripped apart by the explosives planted on at. The concussion from the blast triggered the other booby traps the raptor had set pulverising the other bodies nearby. A head flew, burning, from the explosion and struck Monk in his broken hand, sending a wave of agony up his arm.

"You were right about the explosives Sarah." He called as he began picking through the remains for anything useful.
He didn't touch the Brotherhood remains, he had the feeling he'd done enough to make enemies in the Brotherhood with the explosions, he didn't want to cause a firefight here.
On the bodies of the raptors he didn't find much of use. A couple of empty jet inhalers, three caps and a bottle of beer.
As he gave up on his search and turned to tell Sarah he had found nothing he spotted what looked like an old, pre war, personal organiser. He picked this up and thumbed the on switch, the small screen flashed to life for a second then blinked out again. Battery might be damaged, I'll try to find a replacement later. Monk thought as he slipped it into his pocket.

Benjamin Finley
----------------------------

As the sun rose above Big Town he took in a breath of fresh air. Today was a new day, and maybe a caravan would make it through. He walked inside his home, put on his power armor, and grabbed his laser rifle. The rifle had one modification, a bayonet was added at to the end. Only four other people resided in the outpost, besides Benjamin and the knights. An old married couple, a young man who was a bodyguard for hire, and a woman who acted as a merchant, but ran out of stock a week ago. He went and sat at the small tower. Looking for something to shoot.

"Sir" said one of the knight,"I think it's time we left."

"There's nothing left here, and if we stay we'll die within the week" said the other.

Benjamin was taken aback, but knew they were right. He didn't want to leave these people, but he couldn't waste his life sitting here dying of thirst. He had to leave, but he knew he would hate himself for it. The more he thought about it he couldn't leave.

"Allow me to offer an alternative" he said while grabbing his rifle,"We go and hunt those Raptor [censored] down."

"Better than waiting here to die slowly" one said while grabbing his assault rifle.

"I'm not dying here I'm going for the Citadel, and you'll join me if your smart", said the other, and then he left toward the Citadel. The two watched the deserter walk along the path running from cover to cover. A shot rang out, and then his blood painted the dirt path.

"He's right, we're going to die" said the knight.

"Atleast we won't die like that, and thanks to our "friend" we know where they are. The shot came from the west, and tonight we'll end this" Benjamin said, and then went to get all the supplies he could scraqe together.

William Snowe

William was mostly unharmed other than the confusion from the laser blasts that came within inches of his head. Then he saw Vicente blow up a bus and the section of the Canterbury Highway started to shake. He ran towards the fleeing Vicente and took three more shots at his leg. The small section of the elevated highway crumbled away, sending the two tumbling down with the blown up bus.

Damon "Daredevil" Harrison

"How's that for a show...Heh, I should be getting paid for this."

As soon as those words left his mouth, the woman with the big gun shot a round off into a raider, blasting his head open, Damon, flinched slightly as chunks of brain splattered onto his armor. Then he walked back to his group, looking at the Sarah, somewhat glad that she couldn't see the shock on his face from behind the helmet. From the east William was seen walking up to the group, but no doubt he was on a mission, so conversation would be brief. He shared some words with Ray, and Damon nodded to him, then he stopped, apparently talking to someone who wasn't in the vicinity.

Damn man, if he's got microphones, why can't WE get all that high-tec crap too?

"How's that fro show," She had the audacity to say. He met up with Ryan, who was leaning on a waist high cinder block, sniper propped between his legs casually. As a matter of fact, the whole group was basically watching nonchalantly as the others wrapped up the scene. William was now changing into raider clothes, and the burly man was checking bodies.

"That William was always a different man...kinda odd. I mean look at him." Damon said to Ryan, watching as William pulled on the man's dirty pants, reaching for his cuirass. "Who changes in the open, around a group of men?"

"And what about the other guy, he seems kind of odd too." Ryan said pointing at the big man. "He's big as [censored]. And he's missing an ear too. I think I'm gonna call him Kodak."

Damon chuckled from within his helmet, his rifle in his hands. He was working on unjamming it when he heard several explosions, coming from the dead bodies, and watched as the bug guy was knocked to the floor. Once he got up he resumed his check, and they noticed he was ignoring certain bodies. Brotherhood bodies.

"You can check the Brotherhood bodies, they're not our men. Just bring us the holotags." Ryan yelled.

Shame how many we lose on a daily basis. I often wonder if we're winning this war." Raymond said.

"Then I think you should do a body count." Damon said rising up and walking over to the girl.

"Hey...Sarah right? What's that giants name?" Damon said indicating to the huge lumbering man.

"You can check the Brotherhood bodies, they're not our men. Just bring us the holotags." One of the Brothers called over to Monk as he completed his search of the Raptor bodies.
Monk didn't reply. He was too stunned. What kind of animals show that kind of disrespect to their own? I thought these guys shared some kind of family bond. Isn't that why they all call each other brother and sister? Sure there were guys in the Caravan Union that Monk didn't like, some he downright hated even. But he would never allow someone to pick over their corpses. Never mind actually instruct someone to do it. See what Sarah thinks of this later.

On the bodies of the Brotherhood members he found a couple of stimms that he pocketed but little else of use.
He collected up the holotags, carried them over to one of the Brothers and handed them over. He pointed at the Brother who had given him permission to loot the bodies and said. "Your' man there wanted these. See he gets them for me."

Monk wanted to talk to Sarah. But the reckless Brother with the painted visor seemed to be trying to speak with her. I'll have to catch up with her later. He thought.
He raised his hand and waved at the two of them. "Nothing here Sarah." He called over to her. "Sorry I couldn't help more. Look I gotta get back to town. Left kinda a mess that I better go clean up."
That said he turned away, lit a cigarette, shouldered his shotgun and headed uphill for Canterbury.

"yea it's Sarah, big fella there is Monk only just met him myself he awnsered my radio call before you guys got here. You really don't care about your fallen do ya? Even if you wern't gonna scraqe up the pieces, you could of got the tags you're self or one of your squad. There are some guys I can't sand in the union but I wouldn't neglect them like that. But hey each to their own I guess."

Sarah crouched down and stroked Lucy's head

"so you coming with me then?" Lucy gave an approving bark, in all honesty Sarah couldn't get her head round why the dog wanted to follow her, but she wasn't
Complaining. Sarah turned back to her cheerful self, smiled and turned back to the brotherhood member

"you don't need to thank me by the way" she joked, wandering what kind of face was going on behind that helmet. Sarah noticed Monk, he looked like he wanted to talk but instead he called to say he was heading back to canterberry, she'd catch up with him there

"I need to head on to canterberry, check my caravan made it ok, hey and if you need my services because you're sniper clearly isn't up to scratch if I had to step in hit me up" Sarah thought she pushed it a bit with that remark but it was only a joke.

"see ya later, c'mon Lucy" Sarah then began the twenty minute slog to canterberry.

Damon "Daredevil" Harrison

"Yeah it's Sarah, big fella there is Monk only just met him myself he awnsered my radio call before you guys got here. You really don't care about your fallen do ya? Even if you wern't gonna scraqe up the pieces, you or one of your squad could have gotten the tags yourself. There are some guys I can't stand in the union but I wouldn't neglect them like that. But hey, each to their own I guess."

Damon stood there silently for a while, taking in the brutal ignorance of what she had just said. Of course he cared, but he'd seen too many poople he cared for get blown to pieces. He'd seen friends of his obliterated to the point where there was no body to leave behind. If he didn't care, he wouldn't want the holotags, but this was survival, and supplies were supplies. If he would leave the dead peace, then there would be none for him. Survival of the fittest.

No, not the fittest, the strongest, Damon thought watching as the huge man lumbered off into the distance.

He probably thinks I'm a monster as well. They all do. They got it all wrong . . . I do care.

"And you. . . I just saved your ass and you got the nerve to disrespect me and everything I stand for? What do you think I'm some kind of monster?" Damon was getting angry, struggling to keep himself contained. He took his helmet off and threw it to the side.

"I have a face too. I'm a [censored] person too! MY heart beats just like yours. You see those raiders, even before I killed them they were heartless. They don't care for their dead, not even back when they were living. We fight for you, and this is how you treat us." He turned to the big man.

"Hey Monk! I'm the monster right? I'm the bad guy? Well [censored] you my friend, all I wanted to do was help."

He grabbed his helmet from off the ground and stormed off. He didn't care if his troops followed, they all thought he was a monster anyway, right?

"Hey Monk! I'm the monster right? I'm the bad guy? Well [censored] you my friend, all I wanted to do was help."
The Brother with the painted visor yelled after Monk as he trudged back towards Canterbury. Monk just continued walking, acting like he didn't hear.
Hmmm. Yeah help. Help yourself, you mean. Monk thought to himself. If there'd been any decent tech on those bodies I wouldn't've got a [censored] look at them. They'd have been all over it then, dragging it back to the citadel and hiding it from the rest of the world. Well at least I know what Sarah thinks about how they treat their' dead, whatever she said to him must've really [censored] him off. At this last thought Monk chuckled. Would've been good to see his face while she was tearing him a new one.

Monk was suprised to find himself recalling the old radio broadcasts from the Enclave. He remembered the voice of President Eden blaring out from Eyebots describing the Brotherhood as "Little more than power armoured boyscouts", Monk was even more suprised to find he agreed with the sentament.
Eden had been silent for over a decade now, ever since the man known as the lone wanderer had defeated the Enclave. Monk didn't miss the Enclave or want them back, but he definately thought that their' sentaments towards the Brotherhood weren't far from the mark. Monk wondered if the Union would be better off trying to tackle the Raptor threat alone.
The Brotherhood claimed to be on their' side. But no Union members had been provided power armour, none of their' high tech weaponry had been shared. Probably only responded to Sarah's call because they were already in the area.

Monk returned to MacGraegor's Quality goods. He still had to move Hardin's body from MacGraegor's store cupbord. Can't leave him too long. He'll really start to stink up the place soon. Probably just stick him out in the alley, somebody else's problem after that........ What the [censored]. Monk opened the storeroom door and stared, dumbfounded, at the empty chair. "Where the [censored] did he go?" Monk said aloud to himself "He was definately dead, I put a [censored] .44 slug through his [censored] forehead." He looked at the floor and saw the note he had pinned to Hardin's chest sitting there, unfolded. Whoever had moved the body, had also read the note and knew it had been Monk that had killed Hardin. "You're dead and you're still a pain in the ass Benjie."

There was nothing Monk could do about this situation now so he left MacGraegor's building and crossed to the diner. He ordered himself a brahmin steak and a whisky then took a seat by the window. From his seat he could easily see one of the main routes through town, he could also see the door to the Caravan Union tower.
Good enough place to wait. He thought to himself. Should see Sarah easy enough when she gets back with her dog.

Vicente Pizarro

Vicente looked up from the dust that enveloped him. Only moments before had he fallen from the highway, and thankfully, was spared death from his impact upon an old car chair. Turning to his pockets for anything he still possesed, he was relieved that his book and knife were still there. Stepping up from the chair, Vicente pulled out his book and sat on a pile of rubble, slightly turning his head to face the recovering stranger.

" It seems you've won this round, good man. I am not in the mood to put up with your antics, insofar that I will surrender myself. This is not me being fearful, let me assure you. I am in a good mood, which rarely comes about. You've earned yourself my cooperation."

Vicente simply looked at the stranger, waiting for him to stand up.

" Ah, my favorite chapter, have you ever read of the political theory of Technocracy? " Vicente simply commented. His smile simply gleamed in the pale sunlight, and his face was that of a light-headed friend, much less Raptor murderer.

William

William recovered and grabbed his Glock19 until the Raptor admitted defeat. Vicente waited for William to stand up and when he did, the Raptor opened up his book and commented on it. "Ah, my favorite chapter, have you ever read of the political theory of Technocracy?"

William gave the Raptor his own smile, adapting as he was taught. "No my good man but have you ever read or heard about a militaristic dictatorship?"

He tightened his grip on the Glock19 and pointed it directly at Vicente. "My apologies but this is a safety measure."

Vicente Pizarro

Vicente ignored the man raising his pistol.

" My apologies but this is a safety measure. "

Vicente nodded in approval.

" Understandable. I insure you, my cooperation is to be without a doubt, a given. I rarely make exceptions, so consider yourself set. Militaristic Dictatorship? Well, there was the Regulators and my Vault's security team. Vault 101, ah, what good memories, when there was only literature and the ignorance of being safe......Do you happen to be from a vault? You don't seem like the wastelander type, no offense." Vicente finished with a grin. He hadn't expected to come to terms with a Brotherhood soldier, but he could at least entertain himself.

William

When Vicente uttered the word "Vault", William's mind started to drift out to when he first escaped Vault 101 and joined the Brotherhood. He sighed. "Yes I was in Vault 101 and actually saw the Lone Wanderer from when he was a kid all the way to the escape. At that point, I simply followed him out into the Wastes. Why? I don't know."

William gestured for Vicente to walk before he radioed the Brotherhood. "I've got a Raptor here prisoner. He's not an ordinary raider. Get a Vertibird here."

Vicente Pizarro

Vicente obliged and started to walk. Book held high, he hadn't payed much attention to the mans orders, but was quite sure he ordered some form of transportation.

" You know, I used to be in Talon Company. I remember when your men stormed the fort. Quite a spectacle, may I inquire. The sight of Paladin versus soldier was wonderous, but the loss of my brothers could not go unanswered. If you want to interogate me, at least know why I joined the Raptors." He commented. He felt still minorly depressed from time to time for the loss of Fort Bannister, but carried his guilt into brutality.

" I tried hard to resist, but like so many others, we were branded outcasts by the Brotherhood. The Outcasts, Enclave and Talon Co. all splintered after you stormed in. You truly think you're serving a greater cause? Those idiot raiders may not have brains, but the true thinkers and geniuses behind the Raptors are all human beings who simply want to restore the world or survive it. What will happen in the following months will come down hard upon us all if we do not compromise stranger. I am eager to meet whoever you have in store for me. " He also added.

William

"I do not care for the Brotherhood. They pay me in rations, caps, and shelter after every mission. If I were to quit the Brotherhood now, I'd be a Tenpenny Tower high roller. But the reason I fight for the Brotherhood is because the Brotherhood will finally bring civilization. Democracy? Absolutely not. If you wish to see Democracy, just look around. But a system of chancellors choosing a king? Absolutely. If the king does wrong, the chancellors will boot him off immediately."

As William spoke, a Vertibird with the Brotherhood insignia landed and three paladins armed with laser rifles pointed their guns at Vicente. "Vicente Pizarro, you're under arrest by the order of the Elder."

William sighed. "Lower your guns. Just take him aboard the ship."

The paladins gestured for Vicente to go on the Vertibird as William hopped back on, waiting to go to the Citadel Docking Bays.

Vicente Pizarro

Vicente slightly chuckled when he heard the mans reply. Moments later, one of the Brotherhoods obtained vertibirds landed nearby, three Paladin's rushing outside and aiming their rifles at him. The stranger told them to hold their aim, allowing time for Vicente to jump inside of the Vertibird.

" Hm.., the smell of fresh microfusion cells. I relish the old times, when scavenging a new weapon always wreacked childish excitement. Pity they are over.."

The stranger was preparing to enter the Vertibird, the three Paladin's inside with Vicente.

" Tell me, soldiers, have you any good war stories? "
