Benjamin Finley

After two days of recon Benjamin estimated four Raptors were attacking the outpost. The Benjamin and the Knight ran through the small gate to the outpost. and ducked behind a rock. The second they got behind the rock a shot rang out.

"[censored], where did that come from" whispered Benjamin.

"I dunno, but...[censored], what was I thinking we should have left" the Knight whispered, and dared to glance from behind the rock.

A shot hit him in the chest, but didn't penetrate his armor, power armor a mans best friend. That glance was all he needed, over the beaten path, up the hill, and behind the rocks.

"So we know where they are, and it's the worst possible spot" the Knight said, and then went from a crouch to just sitting behind the rock, their best friend at the moment.

"It could be worse. I don't know how, but it could be" whispered Benjamin.

The two decided they had to bite the bullet sometime, and they ran firing at the rocks. One shot even hit one, but they didn't know if it was a fatal shot. They made it a quarter of the way up, and got behind two rocks and started panting.

"We made it" said the Knight, and he began to laugh.

"I know, I can't believe it worked" Benjamin said shocked. They did that till they were almost to the top. The Knight had gotten a head start last time, and was a bit ahead of Benjamin. The Knight took one step, and set off a landmine. His legs and one arm were ripped completely to shreds. He laid screaming for help, but there was nothing Benjamin could do for him. As he laid screaming the Raptors came out from hiding.

"Come out, Come out wherever you are" one said, and the other two laughed.

"Nice one Alek" said the other two Raptors.

Alek stood over the knight. He pulled out a revolver, and fired directly through the visor. The Knight's cries for help stopped. Anger swelled inside Benjamin, and he began shooting blind fire. He caught one in the torso, and with that Benjamin decide he was the luckiest person in the wasteland. Two left, and Alek began to hammer the rock he was behind with his assault rifle. The other began to come around the rock, with a 9mm and a combat knife. Benjamin saw his shadow coming around the rock, and when he came around the bend Benjamin rammed his bayonet through the center of his chest. The Raptor died, but not before firing a lucky shot that hit Benjamin in the hand.

"Want something done right you gotta do it yourself" Alek said, while putting a fresh clip in his assault rifle. Benjamin knew not to try the same trick twice, so he charged out from the rock and began firing, holding his laser rifle with on arm. Alek fell to the ground after a laser blast hit him in the head. Benjamin walked over to each corpse collected everything of value, and put it into a sack.

When he got back he sent all the remaining residents, but one, to collect the supplies the raptors had been hording up, and the one who stayed treated his hand. After two weeks people started returning to the outpost, and new soldiers came to keep watch over it. Benjamin made his way to the Citadel carrying the holotag of the Knight and a new hatred for the Raptors.

Damon "Daredevil" Harrison

Dame needed to head back to his team, his anger had subsided, and he was fine. Once back with the troops, he found Raymond and asked weather they should go back to the armory, or strait to Canterbury Commons.

"At this point, even though I'm not sure of it, I think there's a change reinforcements of sorts are at Wheaton's Armory, so we should head to Canterbury from here. Thankfully there's not that much distance. Move out troops."

They began the walk to Canterbury, which was completely uneventful. Soon they had made ti to an old power station the marked a reconnaissance spot fro Canterbury, which they entered.

"Looks to me like the Caravan's haven't made it to Canterbury yet, so I suggest we steak it out. Thankfully, we got one big window, so we'll be able to wait form inside."

Damon found a corner and slumped up against it, waiting for something to happen.

Sarah found the walk back to canterberry to be a slog, she felt kind of bad, afterall she didn't mean to piss that brotherhood guy off

"if I ever see him again, I better make sure to apologise hey Lucy" Lucy wasn't paying much attention, she was sniffing around trying to find things while following Sarah. Simply walking along Sarah whipped out her pistol as Lucy bounded back barking angrily, Lucy turned and growled where she had just come from

"what is it?" as Sarah said that a fluffy rat bounced over the hill, granted it was a fairly large mutated fluffy rat, but a fluffy rat none the less. Sarah put a round into the rat and it stopped moving

"how cam you be scared of a rat? Your a big dog" Sarah laughed as Lucy tilted her head to the Side at the comment. Sarah could finally see canterberry it would be about another five minutes till they got there. As the two entered canterberry the smell of at least fifty branhim hit them, the smell was awfull. She stood for a minute looking for Jones and his caravan, thankfully he'd made it, waving at her she waved back.

"Well I'm hungry what about you Luce?" Lucy barked and the two made there way toward some sort of restaurant or diner. As Sarah got to the door and was about to go in someone was shouting her name

"Sarah Lawson!" it was a man, he was about 25 and Sarah recognised him as one of the unions couriers

"what is it calm down" the man caught his breath

"ran here all the way from the megaton base, it's been overrun by raptors, Jade sent me after you" a look of sheer panic struck sarah's face

"I'm heading back there right now"

MONK

Monk was just finishing the steak he had ordered as Sarah came into view, headed up the main street. She appeared to be heading towards the diner along with Lucy. Monk watched her approach while trying to make sense of what had occoured in the last couple of days.
He'd have to speak to Kino soon. He had failed in his job to protect MacGreagor, he had no idea where the guy had gone. Guy seemed able to look after himself from what I saw. Monk thought. Doubt that'll matter to Kino though, he's gonna be mad as hell. Still at least I can tell him about the emergency call to help Sarah. That ought to calm him down a little.

Monk sat back in his chair, putting is feet up on the seat opposite, and lit another cigarette. Sarah was almost at the door now.
"Sarah lawson." the shout could be easily heard through the windows. Monk thought he recognised the voice. Graff ran into view and charged up to Sarah, the two engaged in a brief but heated conversation and then Sarah took off running. What was that about? What is Graff doing in Cantrburry? He's message runner for Megaton. Monk gulped down the last of his drink, got up and headed outside still puffing his cigarette.

"You're a long way from home Graff." Monk said as he stepped up to the messenger. "What was that all about?"
Graff was still panting as he turned to Monk. He looked worried as he told Monk what had happened. The Raptors had attacked Megaton and Jade, the young woman who worked the dispatch office had sent Graff to get Sarah to come help.
"Hang on. Where is Luke MacGraegor?" Graff asked. "Kino said you were to watch him. I delivered the message to you myself."
"In his office I assume." Monk shrugged. "I'm on break." Monk wasn't sure that Graff believed him, but there was little he could do about that now. He barged his way past Graff and headed back to MacGraegor's building. May as well be where he told me to wait if he shows up again. He thought.

He took off his duster as he walked into the dispatch office and threw it down on a desk. The personal organiser he had found earlier by the bodies of the raptors fell out of his pocket when the coat landed and skidded accross the table, then fell onto the floor. Hmmm, I'd forgotten about that thing.
Monk pulled his knife out of his boot and retrieved the organiser from the floor. Using the tip of his knife Monk carefully levered the back off exposing the battery. He removed this and then began rummaging through drawers for a replacement. After a couple of minutes he found one and slipped it into the organiser then clipped the back into place again.
He pressed the on switch and the screen flashed to life again, this time the little screen stayed illuminated.

In the corner of the screen a timer began counting down from fifteen. When it reached zero the text on the screen changed to.

*Password time elapsed. Data purge commencing. This process will take 240 secs approx. Please be patient.*

"[Censored] thing." Monk said banging it down on the table [censored] dead end. Thought that was going to be useful too.
Monk pushed the useless item away and snatched up the mouthpiece for the radio.
"Sarah, it's Monk. Heard about the situation in Megaton. Any problems, give me a shout. I'll be there as quick as I can. Also if you are in a jam I have a couple of grenades in my house. It's the newish shack down the hill from Sheriff Simms's house. Red door, just give it a kick and you should get in ok."
He dropped the mouthpiece back onto the desk and heard a beep from nearby. He picked up the organiser again and looked at the screen.

Monk pushed the "Yes" button and the screen blinked again. At the top of the screen, in green, appeared the words.
*Vicente Pizarro: Torture Log.*
"What the [censored]." Monk breathed.

Sarah sprinted as fast as she could out of Canterberry with Lucy in tow. The only thing going through her head was Jade, she was the only thing left over there that Sarah cared about. Sarah heard Monk on the radio saying he'd be there soon and something about grenade's in his house, but Sarah wasn't listening much she was just concentrating on running. It took a good half a day to get to Megaton, by which point the sun had already set and night was creeping across the wasteland. A fight was clearly still raging in the compound, the guard of Megaton had stepped in Sarah grabbed her radio

"This is Sarah Lawson, I'm part of the Union guard, have you seen Jade? she's got long dark hair about five six" an explosion followed by ricocheting bullets cackled through the radio

"Lawson? this Simmons i haven't seen her, she could be in the admin office, Jenkins went in there we've had no contact and..." Simmons could be heard cursing and then releasing a burst of bullets

"Damn raptor's, that's all i can tell you Lawson either get in there and find out or regroup with me" With that Sarah slung her rifle over her back and slid down the hill she was on, almost loosing her balance as dirt and rocks broke away beneath her. Approaching the compound wall she found a hole where the gang had blow there way in, and conveniently the admin building was on her left. Silently approaching the door she placed her hand on the doorknob and pulled the only flash bang she had from her belt and quickly tossed it inside, pushing through the door she pulled her knife and jumped on a dazed Raptor jabbing the knife in his neck. Scanning the room he was the only Raptor there, the only other body was Jenkins

"Where the hell is she" Sarah murmured to herself.

"Get of me!" a shout came from outside, as She ran out the door a bat struck the back of her head and saw Jade being dragged out the hole screaming as Sarah slipped into a state of unconscious and thinking she was dead the raiders left her.
