Game breaking bug found in Skyrim: Special Edition

Post » Mon Oct 31, 2016 2:16 pm

I was well on my way through the main story and was one the quest to capture Odahviing "The Fallen". When i talked to Paarthurnax/Arngier/Esbern i found a game breaking bug that doesnt allow me to progress any further, no matter what console commands i used or if i load a previous save.

The bug is that when either one of the three mentioned above tell me to talk to Jarl Bulgruff of Whiterun, it appears as if the Jarl is on the southernmost point of the map and not in Whiterun whatsoever. I waited and even tried to find him, but he is outside the invisable wall and unreachable.

I have a picture to show, but i dont know how to since this is my first time posting.

Any help or solutions would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

Possibly try an earlier game save to see if it works.

like i said in my original post, reverting to an old save or commands dont seem to be working. If i spawn Bulgruff, he doesnt do anything and i cant move to him because the game says he doesnt exist.

Frustrating cause i love the main story but now cant progress.

You never want to spawn NPC's especially quest NPC's.

How far did you go with the old game save.

Are you using any mods like the unofficial patch. The unofficial patch has had a few bugs already.

You might have to start another character

i went back around an hour, when i first entered Blackreach. I am using some mods, like the unofficial patch and ill disable them cause i have tried it yet. That might be the solution, so let me try it real quick and i'll tell you if it was successful.

>start another character

already have 60+ hours in so thats not an option lel

Report it directly to Bethesda. This is the fourth NPC that has glitched out when being marked as a quest stage objective. It may be randomly occurring, since I'm guessing you didn't have the same glitch with Wulfgar that others have. But it's looking like a pattern.

Yes report it to Bethesda. Also put notes that you have used mods as well.
