GAME BREAKING MAIN QUEST BUG! (Underground Undercover) HELP! : Fallout 4

Hey community,

(Some minor spoilers regarding the Railroad quest-line)

I've recently run into an extremely annoying bug/glitch in the MAIN QUEST that is preventing me from progressing with the Railroad. During the quest Underground Undercover the last objective is to warn Desdemona of an incoming Brotherhood attack after being informed of it by a synth in The Institute. When I go to warn her at the HQ, the dialogue for the quest will not begin therefore leaving me unable to finish the quest. THE MAIN QUEST. I've tried reloading, leaving and re-entering, doing other quests for her, nothing works. I also looking up the issue online and other people have had the issue. Apparently my case is due to the fact I previously went on the Prydwen and killed several named characters (I'd love to know why they weren't set to essential if they were so important to other quests) which are needed for this quest. I've looked up solutions and the only one is console command related, which doesn't help us console players. Any advice?

I really want Bethesda to do something about this. Game breaking glitches associated with the main quest is unacceptable in my opinion.

PLEASE FIX THIS UPSETTING ISSUE IN A GAME THAT I OTHERWISE LOVE!!!!!!!!

Same issue here! How can a main quest bug like this, not get patched before the other "essential" fixes that came in the first patch for consoles? I have heard of many people with this issue. It's great for pc players with the console commands, but that does nothing for us console users, at all.

Also, truly great, how Bethesda is so active on their own forum for the game. Tremendous customer support, indeed!!!

They have to stop you having fun and getting things early first, major glitches? Naa they dont matter!

Just do it , without killing everyone this time. Fallout 4 is an action roll-playing (adventure simulator?!?) at its core , not a shooter.

However there are other instances that can make that quest obsolete:

Spoiler

If Glory that assists the player character during the quest Memory Interrupted become stuck in the area or die, that results in a halt to progress during the quest Underground Undercover when the player must warn Desdemona

of the impending Brotherhood of Steel attack.

This is because Glory is involved in a dialogue with the player character during that event. To avoid this, the player character should follow Glory out of the Malden Center Station as she can become stuck on metro gates or other objects.

What kind of stupid response is this? I was level 52 at the time I found this glitch I have no intent to restart the entire game because of this glitch. Idgaf what genre it is, a main-quest related glitch is unacceptable.

I can't think of another way to fix it, it probibly is that quest that is doing it because she does travel away during that quest so either load a save before that or wait for Bethesda to patch it... Sorry but I do not respond well to name calling

I mean, try to do that particular quest again, not to start over!
