Game broke after attaching laser sight to,

Post » Tue Aug 25, 2009 11:45 pm

So I was really excited a few moments ago when I finally found a merchant carrying a 10mm pistol mod, that mod was the laser sight (fyi I just hit level 14 and just found the laser sight).

So I open my pip-boy and scroll down to my Weathered 10mm Pistol. Shockingly the L2 mod option is highlighted, by this point I'm extatic.

Pressing L2 followed by X and it was done!

I close the pip-boy and WTF!?

There is a red diamond surrounding my avatar with a white exclamation point and my pistol has turned invisible!

I opened my pip-boy and the pip-boy recognized the unique pistol with it's mod. This needs to be patched like now.

Sadly on Earth things just don't happen instantly. So you wanting a fix for your issue is unlikely to just happen, like now. You and others are having a lot of problems with New Vegas, including myself. As much as myself and others want this patch like NOW! it ain't going to happen.

Look at other games that launched with major bugs, glitches and annoyances. S.T.A.L.K.E.R, World of Warcraft, Fallout 3, The Witcher, Gothic 3, Two Worlds, Singularity. I can't go too in depth with most console or PS3 exclusive titles cause' they launch without anything major or game breaking.

Those games took several weeks, months and even years to fix. (World of Warcraft was a bug infested Motel. After several months it started to become stable. But even to this day there are still a lot of bugs and balancing issues. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Took a month to get it into working condition with 5 more patches following it until it too became more stable. The developers at Projekt released an updated version of the game with more content, better graphics and much more polish for free to gamers who bought the original and registered their copy.

Gothic 3 got several patches including community patches. Things take time...

I'm just as upset as the other guy, and I haven't even bought my copy yet (Rented it)

More or less a "Me too", but happened to me at level 7 with the extra ammo mod (same base weapon). Now I've lost my preferred weapon, and the last save before this was four hours prior, before I moved all the crap I had saved across the wasteland to Novac. No way am I doing all of THAT again.

Any way to remove a mod entirely? I assume replacing it with any other mod will just have the same issue.
