That's actually the Xbox 360 system cache clear... that's different from clearing the cache specific to Fallout New Vegas, and it will delete system updates for all your titles on LIVE.

If you're looking to only clear the cache for New Vegas, do the following....

How do I clear the game cache?
On occasion, the player might need to try resetting the file cache because of performance issues or other random problems...to do this, the player must hold the "Left Bumper," "Right Bumper" and "X" buttons simultaneously while the game is booting.

Hi, GStaff.

Something I was wondering about this as well for the longest time. Figured I create an account to ask and finally get it out of my system: Do I hit the LB, RB, X right when the Xbox 360 loads the game? Or do I wait a little bit longer? Once the screen displays the Bethesda Softworks title screen, is it too late? How do I know if I've done it correctly?

Thanks!

i know this isn't the official reply you were looking for, but i think this will help anyway.

as soon as you see the first screen with all the copyright information, hold down LB, RB, and X. you'll know it worked if it skips straight from the bethesda logo to the start menu of the game.

The question is how many people are complaining about long load times, freezes and other issues without knowing about the cache clearing method?

We shouldent have to clear our system cache every 10min. We bought this game for $60 and it dident say "You need to shut down your system every 10 F***ing min or your xbox will freeze" The developers should have tested this game b4 it was released. And they will say they did but we all know thats a load of BS.
