uhmermmmm, i was wondering if there would be and weapon challenges, or career challenges, or ect.
i didnt see any evidence of this or a topic refering to this so i made one, (sorry if there is) just asking. - J.

As far as I know and read, it will be more like Spec ops, a small mini game to unlock attachments and such, though I think it may have been changed with the exp being used to also buy attachments.

No stat farming for new items, instead there are small mini games such as SMART races. Win a challenge, get several weapons and weapon attachments. 4 challenges, 3 difficulties. That's 12 unique chances to unlock a crapton of items. You can actually unlock every weapon / weapon attachment before playing the actual game.

Short answer: yes, there are many types of challenges in the game, weapon challenges included. There are, in fact, entire missions as challenges.

I'd recommend reading http://www.fragworld.org/frag/community-blogs/brink-info-pt-3-weapons-and-customization.html -- it's a compilation of all the known data on Brink. Besides being a good, informative read, it'll prep you for when the game ships soon. Within the section on Weapons, there is a tab titled "Challenges." That ought to clear anything up.
