Game controler for PC version not working

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 12:23 am

I recently got a game controler, PS style, that was made for the PC so I could use it with Oblivion and Fallout. The game is recognising the controler, but the controls are not really working very well. Is there a way to set up the game so that it plays through only the controler and stops recognizing the mouse? Is there a patch to help with this? It's so much easier to play the game with a controler rather than keyboard and mouse. And I would like to think I didn't just waste $30... :(

I'm having a similar problem. Bought a controller to play Oblivian again, but on my laptop this time. (Xbox was stolen)
My new controller is a Logitech F310. Works fine except the right joystick will not let me look around.

looking in the controler options, there's not even a line to designate a button for directing the camera view. I hope there is a patch or something for this.

Well, first off, have you tried the controller in other games? It may not be the game.

I have just tried the controller in fallout 3. the controls still do not work very well. the commands are not designed to interface with a controller from what I can tell. when I use my PlayStation style controller, I expect to get similar command responses as if I were playing a PlayStation, or even an Xbox. instead, when I move the left joy stick it seems to trigger the always run response even though that is not the command assigned. it seems to be almost impossible to cycle trough the different pipboy screens. It would be easier, I think, if there was a way to turn off keyboard and mouse commands when you are using a controller. and the commands alignment in the settings should be set up for controllers. instead the commands list is the same as for keyboards.

Try using Xpadder. it will allow you to bind the keys to what you think is best for them.
