GAME CRASHES AFTER A FEW MINS ON IPAD MINI

Post » Mon Feb 15, 2016 2:45 pm

Ok Im starting this after having gone through other topics looking for a solution with no success! Each time i start up and "enter the Vault" it takes about 5min to actually start playing and then after a random amount of time playing it crashes. its never the same time. I have a Ipad mini 3 with 24 people

Here is what i have tried;

1.Making a new vault and build it to about 10-14 people and then switching to my other one as well as deleting the new one after a while

2. Right when i get it click on the store and wait until that loads and a few more seconds to start the game play (this seemed to give me the most time to be able to play)

3. Turning on and off the Notification, screenshots, and Tips

Any other ideas? Bethesda??

Have you try deleting the game and reload?

Also try reset the iPad by holding both buttons.

Saves will be in iCloud.

I have been struggling with crash since playing this game, but no response from Bethesda. All the hints are from others users.

How much ram does your iPad mini have? It sounds like it's running out.

The same thing happened to my old phone with 512MB of ram, it would load the game, open the vault and then some random number of minutes later the whole game shutdown. Using a resource tracking app(it logged ram usage, CPU usage, etc), I was able to see that the game doesn't load all of the data at once when you start it, but will continue to load things as you play. If your device runs out of ram at some point when the game is still loading, it shuts down. I've seen the game use almost 800MB of ram, so if your iPad doesn't have 1GB it's probably not going to work. If the iPad does have 1GB of ram(or more) then try shutting all of your other apps down so they're not using the ram up.

I don't know which model of the iPad Mini you own, but I'd say it's either too old (with insufficient RAM, as stated previously), or you've got too many apps open at once. I've no major problems on my iPad Air, myself. Have you tried closing unneccessary apps running at the same time (you know, by double-clicking the home button, then swiping up on those apps you want closed)? Maybe this is a bit obvious, but you didn't say if you'd tried it out.

Well I'm no expert, so I can't help you any further. This would be a job for @Gstaff.

http://www.gsmarena.com/apple_ipad_mini_3-6741.php of the iPad Mini 3 shows it has 1GB of ram. Probably just have to many apps open.

Yes, my first move was to uncheck cloud, delete the game, load it from cloud and stuck again.

My android smartphone have 2 gb ram. 1.1 free before starting the game / 974 mb after stuck on vault loading screen.

Loading screen also freeze after few minutes of loading.

I dont think theres problems with any of the devices people are having problems on, it seems to be something wrong with the new december update that is putting too much strain on the devices. Im having my own similar problem where my game crashes everytime i load my best vault, but doesnt crash when i load smaller ones. Is there a fix to this issue? Ive never had this problem untill after this update
