Simply put, my problem is that after clicking 'play' in the launcher, the game begins to start, then closes without a single error message. Every. Time. I. Start it. Except, when I manage to fix it. When I fix it, it then launches. But when I close it and launch it the next time, it crashes again, and I have to fix it again.
I would be able to deal with this, if the same fix was guaranteed to work each time . But that's not the case. Here's all the fixes I have done:
- Restarted my PC
- Deleted .Ini files
- Validated integrity of game cache on Steam
- Deleted Fallout 4.exe, redownloaded it
- Redownloaded the game
- Ran it in compatibility mode for every possible OS / DISABLED COMPATIBILITY MODE (made it work once)
- Set it to 'low' settings
- Set it to run in windowed mode
- Redownloaded my graphics drivers
Every single one of these fixes I have tried, and every single one of them has worked at least once. But for whatever reason, these fixes don't work the next time I start the game. I have to re-try every single one of these every single time I decide to play Fallout 4. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. And it's really frustrating.
At this point, I would GLADLY put up with constant in-game crashes, and even NORMAL crashes on startup, where fixes are guaranteed to STAY fixes, if it meant I didn't have to deal with this.
Someone please give me an answer. Because I don't have it, and neither does anyone else in the other 7+ forums I have discussed this issue in. I'm REALLY losing my incentive to bother trying to play it, because I have to spend up to two hours fixing it before I actually get to play.
