I just bought the Maximum edition during the Steam summer sale and wanted to play a bit, but the game always crashes within the first few moments.

I start in the submarine, dive to the surface, see the warrior in the nano suit, and then my screen goes blank, and I am thrown to the Desktop. I can see Crysis running in the taskbar, but I cannot change to it, and it constantly uses one core of my CPU (25% used on a quad core (with hyperthreading though, so rather 8 virtual cores).
From there I can't do anything.

I've now tested again with Windowed mode, it crashed as well. I got a lot further, and got after Prophet telling me that I am the last hope, but in the warehouse it crashed.
