Game Delay

Post » Fri Jul 23, 2010 7:34 am

I personally think the final relase date for the game is going to be sometime in February 2012. This is just my opinion. Most good games get delayed. Who else thinks it will be delayed?

No chance. 11.11.11 is way too cool. Plus, it was announced almost a year in advance... if they weren't sure they could have just said "Holidays" like Bioware did with Mass Effect 3.

Does this question really require yet another poll?

I don't think they will delay it since it's release date is 11.11.11. which is quite unique, so, either there or we'll have to wait till 22.22.22. :(

I seriously doubt it, Bethesda seems pretty sure about this one.

They have almost 100 people in their team, have been working on it for years, and are obviously confident enough in their progress judging by their pick of a date rather than a general timeframe like in the past. So I say 'nah'.

They wouldent have announced it this close to the release date unless they were pretty damn sure they would have it out by then. My guess is the game is pretty much done and that they are spending these last 10 months polishing, debugging, and hyping.

I hope not.

11:11 is my lucky number. I blew a gasket when they announced it as the release date.

Perfect!

Nah. They've waited so long just to announce it. Don't think that is without reason.

They are sure that they have enough done with the game that it's just a final stretch to get the game in a finished state.

I doubt it will be delayed, especially since they set a very specific date for release. My guess is that, as the game gets closer to release, they will shift more and more resources into DLC.

unless the plant that manufactures the discs burns down while its producing skyrim and all game data is lost it wont be delayed. the GI article sounded like all the voice acting is finished and that is ussually the last thing done on a game before production.

They learned their lesson with Oblivion.
Besides, they have been waiting to announce the game. They purposely waited, and I see two reasons

One reason being they wanted to make sure it would be released when they said
And two because they wanted it to be a short time frame between announce and release

I hope its not but you never know. That date is too sweet to not deliver on and not only that it will be a big holiday release another reason why they want to deliver on that date. They could have released that teaser trailer and not put that date at the end of it. They put it there for a reason.

I highly doubt there will be a delay. They said months ago that it was ready to show and were just waiting for the marketing department to give them the go ahead. Everything they're working on for it right now is icing on the cake and they've got 11 months of icing they can put on it. It will almost assuredly be more than ready when November roles around.

They have likely finished the main quest and stuff now, so they are just filling it with as many sidequests and stuff as they can before release.
