MY game doesn't crash, or maybe it does... I can't tell.

When I click my desktop shortcut, the game loads up the screen goes black. For four or five seconds the screen is black then it goes back to the desktop, without any messages or signs of crashing. It simply doesn't start.

sounds like a missing master, check out what BOSS has to say about your load order.

Usually caused by a missing master (i.e. not having Mart's Monster Mod.esm with Mart's Monster Mod.esp, for example), so double-check your mod installs. Can also sometimes be fixed by deleting Oblivion.ini in My Documents/My Games/Oblivion and letting the game generate a new one on startup.

BOSS isn't the end-all of mod management you know. It just orders them. Seriously, so many people nowadays just go 'use BOSS, that'll sort everything out'. It doesn't, if you're having problems, load order might be a reason, but you still need to investigate properly.

It's a wonderful tool that's saved us all countless hours, but it's being waved around as some magical cure-all of modding half the time, which just isn't right.

/rant.

Use Wrye Bash to check for missing masters, BOSS won't tell you anything about that.

Well the whole MMM was a Omod installation so shouldn't all the files just end up where they are supposed to?

It comes with the download. Not sure which version you're running, but you should run http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1075204 - and it comes in the esp/esm download.

Ah okay got that, read it requires the beta version 1.34 of OOO. ANd currently I only have 1.33. Searched the forum and came up with nothing on a 1.34 beta being released.

I understand if i'm gettin on your nerves by now, but this is just annoying.

Been trying to get a new game started for a week now, reinstalled it three times just ending up with nothing haha.
