Game Failed Launch - Crysis 3 initial screen and nothing!!!

Post » Thu Mar 07, 2013 10:29 pm

I've pre-installed the Hunter Edition game and it does not launch Crysis 3 correctly. It tries to launch but after initial Crysis 3 small screen popup, nothing happens and no ERROR message.

I tried to perform repair step twice but that does not help. I am currently uninstalled and downloading again to see if that helps. Has anyone with the same problem?

I am using the following Hardware which I don't believe it is hardware problem since I can run all other games such as BF3, Diablo3, NFS, Crysis2 with DX11 enabled.

Windows 8 64-bit
Intel Core2Quad Q9400 @ 3.3GHz
DDR2 8GB RAM
AMD HD7870 2GB Graphics Card w/ DX11
2560x1600 Screen Resolution on Dell 30" monitor

Hi jediplay!
I have never seen someone play with the Old C2Q CPU’s and DDR2 RAM. I am thinking of the possibility that this may be hardware related issue.

I can run DX11 version of Crysis 2 which with high resolution patch enabled so it isn't DX11 problem. Actually, Quad Core Q9400 overclocked at 3.3 GHz isn't slow at all. CPU clock speed isn't an issue here. Neither is DD2 running at 1066 Mhz either. I thought it may be due to overclocking of HD7870 graphics card so I rolled it back to default but it is the same. First small Crysis3 screen and it stops the launch and no error message. Tried to repair, re-install, it all the same result.
