After putting in 80+ hours on my NCR character,I got bored and started a new character, freindly with the legion this time.As I got farther into the Legion quest line,I noticed that ALOT of people hate you.For the most part, you are only really safe on the east side of the dam.And Caesar isn't out to make freinds either. He wants Mr.house and the Bos dead.And correct me if I'm wrong, but he also wants Yes Man dead as well.And something that really made me say "Wow,WTF!" was that I couldn't even get Arcade Gannon as a follower.Which if you do his side quest gives you the best armour in the game. And its also is the ONLY way to get the Enclave tesla armour.Although I'm not fond of the Bos, since I can't do Arcade's side quest and get power armour training, they are the only othe way to get it (I think). So you get screwed out of wearing power armour. And as far as I can tell the Faction armour for the NCR is better too, veteran ranger armour has a DT of 20. The equivalent,centurion armour, has a DT of 18.I know thats a little petty,but the little things do add up. And that quest "Rendor unto Caesar" took Foreveeeeeeerrrrrr.Well actually I never got to do it since ED-E got stuck in Vault 34.And since only one person can go into Caesar's tent,I couldn't complete the quest.As mentioned before, the NCR are EVERYWHERE. If the NCR hate you and you need to go into the west (you most likley will), you had better have an NCR disguise or you'll get pumped full of lead,or lazers since the Bos will hate you. Even if the Legion are morally evil, I think they should at least be equal with the NCR. Maybe its me, but I geuss Bethesda is developing a pattern here, those they deem "Evil" or "Bad", get treated pretty bad.(ENCLAVE). This is complety unfair to people who like the legion over NCR and the Legion could really use some buffing. The legion,even late game don't have good weapons either,while the NCR ranger vets get Brush guns,trail carbines, and marksman rifles.Most Legion just use melee weapons.As you could imagine, charging someone with a powerful weapon and nothing but a machete or sledge is not a very good idea.Anyone else feel this way?

Yeah, the Legion were shafted. There's basically no sidequests and, as you said, you play Legion everybody and their mother wants you dead.

Yeah, the NCR has waay too much control over the playable character's actions - places you can - can't go w/o getting shot. All together WAY too many NCR favored quests. And why can you have a Ranger call in but not a Legion call in?

Oh yeah! I forgot about the emergency radio,legion players don't even get one.

Yea, the Legion get's screwed over in NV.

Lets hope major faction land will be better balanced in Fallout 4, and of course Talon Company.

And if they don't bring the Enclave back I'm going to be VERY disappointed.

That was because of Fallout 3's bad writing, lets face it, the Enclave would have DESTROYED the BoS instantly if they wanted, but they didn't, because of bad writing. As for Talon Company, I like them for what they are, not how Fallout 3's bad writing portrayed them.

good...good answer yah if i Probably couldnt sided with the Enclave i would. But anyways the Talon company had good guns to and they were really good with there armor espically a medium sized group that they are.

Back on topic, the reason it's SOO hard to play the Legion way is because they're the REAL underdog in F:NV. If you haven't noticed the Legion doesn't have many fortifications in the Mojave. Why? Becasue they have the military strageties of raiders not occupiers. The NCR may have bad leadership but the Legion has a worse time. They don't really have overwhemling force like the NCR, nor advanced agriculture techniques to gain such a force. They don't have many allies, because honestly who wants to side with someone who's going to enslave/torute/kill you? They don't have a real economy since it's a totalitartian society, they're basically tribals only more organized. The legion waste resources without a proper system of accounting, they can be more to degeneration because of a lack of institutional structure. Honestly they should get owned. Besides in game the NCR seemed to be more fun to deal with anyway. Hell play the game as indepedent and talk to the Legate, he'll tell you he has doubts if the Legion can hold the Mojave vs. the NCR and hold onto Arizona and New Mexico.

Actually, the NCR is supposed to be potrayed as the Underdog.


I mean, Trooper Moral is low, supply lines are stretched to the max, they're loosing alot of ground and taking heavy casualties.

Neither are under dogs, they both have their strenghts and weaknesses.

My guess is that this lack of Legion quests and Legion based oriented gameplay will be rectified in an upcoming DLC (honest hearts is what im thinking of).

Sure they were "presented" that way but if they simply went on the offense they would easily win. Hell but now that I think of it the real reason there isn't a lot of Legion missions and content? Because they didn't do Arizona really in game, the reason for that was probably because of delevopment time and other issues.

Its simple NCR was in the Mojave first. So they are better established then the Legion.

I also feel more Legion quests will come in future DLC.

Just because they were their first is not an excuse for being under-powered.

you cant just have a DLC based on just one faction maybe some people dont like that particular faction.

Well in that case they just won't buy the DLC but honestly I think there was a missed opportunity when it came to the Legion in game. All we really see is that they
A. Are militarstic
B. Dependent on the top leaders
C. Ruthless

I know every [censored] in the Legion isn't willing to die for Caeser and waste their life in the Mojave. I know there were some more officers like the one at Mccaran that weren't idiots and didn't want to commit suicide for a dying dicator. Why not get deeper into the Legion?

Actually, that guy surrendered just so he can insult the NCR and escape.

If he were like that, he would have told the NCR about Caesar's plans.





That logic is currently flawed, since DLC is only being released on one platform.
