Hi t'all y'all...

I've been playing the game with all the DLCs for a while but recently, the game has started to freeze on occasion when entering or leaving cells - it seems as though it's occurring during the autosave as that text is left, frozen in the upper left of the screen. I don't have many mods and I haven't added or removed any for weeks, yet the freezing is relatively new. I have no problems making a hard save.

Should I disable the autosave? I am hesitant to do that as the game crashes on its own from time to time and I use the autosaves to restart. If I disable autosave, I will probably loose a far greater amount of game played time when crashes occur in the future as I am not accustomed to making hard saves all that often...

Have you installed the unofficial patch ???

And have you any problems with your BOSS load order ??? (conflicts, or something like that - actually you shouldn't if you play vanilla skyrim)

How big are your save files....it is possible that some save files has been bloated ???

Do you have any mods?

Create fresh vanilla copy of whole game with latest patches and test the autosave function then. Is it still locking up?
