game freezes after a couple of minutes

Hello
I would very much appreciate any help you can give me.
I'm trying to play Fallout 3, the original title and the game keep freezing me after 3 or 4 minutes in the game (up until then it works fine and then simply freezes) and i have to close the application of the game.
I also updated to the 1.7 version and it still won't help.

I'm using windows 7 professional, 4 gb ram, nvidia geforce 310m, intel ICore 5

Thank you

Couple little things that may help:

Navigate to "C:\Users\(Your User Name)\Documents\My Games\Fallout3" and open up "Fallout.ini". Do a search for bUseThreadedAI and change it from bUseThreadedAI=0 to bUseThreadedAI=1. Below that add the following line as well "iNumHWThreads=2". This is a fix for quad-cores as Fallout 3 doesn't really support 4, this limits the game to 2. Also try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows Service Pack 3. Some people have reported this to help with CTD's.

A 310m isn't going to work at all satisfactorily. That's a business level card, not even as good as current integrated solutions.
