In-game Haircut?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 5:44 pm

Hi guys!

I was wondering if we know whether our characters will be able to get a haircut once we are in the wasteland? Since we start pre-war, I like the ideal of my character redefining herself, instead of running around with a centuries-old hairdo.

Thanks a lot!

I hope there's a way to do this in-game too. Worst case scenario I'll use the old "showracemenu" console command.

I also like the idea of starting with a kind if fitting pre-War cut and then shifting to something else later on as the character evolves.

And, you know, Skyrim and Fallout 3.

Well, in Fallout 3 if you get the house in Megaton, your Mr. Handy can give you a haircut. I expect you can probably do the same in FO4 somehow. In fact, I think it would be a surprise if you can't.

Considering haircuts were available in both Fallout 3 and New Vegas, it would be absolutely silly for it not to exist now.

Well, they were rather hard to access in Fallout New Vegas before DLCs, if I remember correctly.

For me it's essential being able to change my character with a haircut. I want to start out with a pre-war look and gradually change into a more rugged character as my time in the wasteland progresses.

This is pretty much what I do in FO and TES.

Yeah! Starting out with a proper haircut to later end up with long hair and a beard. Classic! More or less every Brad Pitt movie when I think about it.

Yes; there are definitely barbers out there. No idea how common they are, though.

Hopefully Codsworth can do it and hopefully the settlement building will have an option to have a barber/hair salon.

A bird told me that they've made some improvements with hair, so yes, I think it's very possible that we can pay the hairdresser a visit ^_^

Well, Skyrim only included it as part of a larger $10 dlc.

Would be nice, but if not, there will most likely be a mod to change it. I usually change hairstyles as the game progresses.

Yep, I too enjoy the in-game haircut. Fallout 3 it made a lot of sense and was quite fun. However, Skyrim didn't have a way to change your hair until the Dawnguard DLC.. So, who knows if they remembered to put a haircut feature in this time. I can see it being an easy thing to forget.

MAYBE SPOILER

Fairly early in game you can access a barber thankfully.

I also like clean cut beginning and a messy look later.
