On a side note I want to see all of this concept art in High-Res, I'd buy a whole book of it. I want to be a concept artist when I graduate art school... if I get into an Art School...

man the art is awesome
- new music (i want oblivion type of music -_-)
- decapitated head (maybe we can cut npcs)
- the main character with a dog 2:40 at the right top (companions?)

looks so awesome.

Not sure what makes you think that is the main character, but I doubt the dog is a companion. More likely a source of food(we have concept art of "dog meat").

That is the same shot as 3:05 but I don't see what you are talking about. Looks like there is a SketchBook at the bottom right, but I don't see a Khajiit anywhere.

I mean the brownish looking book at the bottom right beside "Viking" but as I continue to look at it, I think its just some random book they have. It doesn't really look like a Khajiit as we know them...

If it is that look like a really big improvement over the vampires you see in Oblivion

Looks like a personal sketch book. Probably just random drawings on the front, that may even not have anything to do with Skyrim. Either way yea, doesn't look like a Khajiit, looks more like a hooded figure or something with a halberd going over his back.

Trying to discern the collage,not that easy

So far I've come up with:

RIFTEN FISHERY
Processing areas
-Smakell(?)
-Hatchery
-advlt pod
-Gutting tables(?)

To me, it doesn't look like advlt pod (or pond) but it looks like it says advlt nord :shrug:
Either makes sense to me :smile:

Of course, in context, pond makes more sense

I think his art screen there says more than a couple words could.

Very awesome update, probably the best yet IMO.

Only one video I know of said 2009 and that was the paint over, which was recorded by the artist, not GameInformer. The GameInformer interviews were most likely done AFTER the announcement, because they wouldn't have told GI about the game before then.

They'll still be doing Concept Art very close to the end. As long as they are still creating or tweaking objects in the game they will be working on concept art.

Didn't someone from Game Informer say they saw the game months ago and couldn't wait to reveal it?

Nice to see a detailed front of that armor, the magazine shows an ingame backside, and a poorly lit front (torch pic)

Really cool, but I never was a fan of over the top armor like shown here. The armors in Oblivion and Morrowind seemed like something one would actually wear for protection. Except Daedric, which is allowed to look freaky. The armors here look like decoration, I mean the glass and elven ones...

I don't recall seeing any elven screenshots from the snippets of info that we've had so far, but yeah, the concept art does look cool.

We had in game screenshots of the Elven Armor in the Skyrim issue of Game Informer.

Elves live for so long they can afford to make wicked intricate armor.

And after going through all of the trouble of getting glass in the TES universe, I'd hope they at least spent some time on making it look nice. Haha. Volcanoes and all that, if I remember correctly about where it comes from. Elven and Glass armor is supposed to be like you go through a huge ancient ruin and happen upon a chest that's been hidden in the shadows behind a pillar during daytime: "By the Nine Divines...GUESS WHAT I FOUND!!!"

And then your adventuring buddies circle around and gasp.

They're supposed to be rare and only found in tombs and ruins in Oblivion Times. The fact that it's been 200 years later means they're probably even rarer, and given that Elves weren't exactly welcome in Skyrim for a long time, Elven armor would be that much rarer. And Glass armor is probably only from Morrowind, so you're talkin' more elves there too.
