Hi, I certainly hope someone can help me.

I have been having a persistent problem with Crysis 2. I'll start with my specs, I have:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
4GB RAM
1TB Seagate Constellation ES2 HD
AMD Radeon HD 6870
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

When I start the game I see the non animated eye and the animated Crytek logo and maybe the animated EA logo. After that I get a black screen with a green cursor and it will sit there untill I power cycle the PC. To troubleshoot I have:

Installed through steam
Installed through EADM
wiped out both versions and reinstalled
Tried the 11.1 11.2 and the 11.4 beta drivers for the video card
shut off all of the video enhancements in CCC
Reinstalled all of those drivers with the driver only
installed and uninstalled the Crysis2 addon for the drivers from AMD.com
Formatted and reinstalled the OS and tried all of the drivers with nothing but Crysis2 installed from EADM
Completely removed (obviously) my anti-virus software

I made it work once after i installed the OS clean with the 11.4 drivers but after a 5 hour playing session I foolishly needed a break. When I came back the original problem resurfaced. I am out of ideas. Hopefully one of you have the answer!
