Game mechanics tutorial for Morrowind

Post » Tue Dec 09, 2014 3:08 pm

Over the past year or so I have been overjoyed to hear that people in the TES community have been wanting to get into the older games, especially Morrowind as it is my favorite game of the past 12 years. However, I have also seen and heard complaints about how old and difficult the systems and mechanics are in this game. To help with the learning curve, I have started working on a sort of ‘Intro to Morrowind’ video series. In this series I will be going over things like character creation, classes, leveling, skills, atributes, the importance of resting, combat, magic, bartering, questing, the journal, the map, alchemy, enchanting, spell making and anything else that needs explaining. That’s where you come in, I want to know what about Morrowind gives or gave you problems and I will do what I can to explain the mechanics involved and how to get around certain walls of entry and bugs.

I know many people on these forums can answer your questions but I want to create one series that a newbie can go to without digging through forums and wating for a response. I’d like to have the first video posted within a week of this posting. I expect the series to go for three or four episodes at most.

Thanks everyone
Oz

I think this would be a great idea. I remember when I first tried Morrowind, I was just a kid so I had a hard time playing without console codes, but I really enjoy it nowadays as I learned how to play the game, so I think other people may really enjoy the game if they learned how it works. :)
