Game media can only see the money and not the bugs.

How did you felt when you bought this game and played it?

Do you really trust game media?

Do you think the complainers are wrong? If so, explain why they're wrong.

Im not sure, but most are complaining about bugs and it being to much like Fallout 3 which I disagree with(I like that they stuck with a working formula and expanded on it adding some new features that work smoothly). I have not ran into any bugs yet, though I am not far into the game either. And even if there are bugs, it's not like Bethesda wont patch the game or something as they will.

Played on Xbox One some 20 hours.

Haven't see a bug yet

(excluding roadroaches, bloatfly etc...)

That's not to say they don't exist,

but by the amount of play of this game,

the game is not defined by them.

You just buy the game (or better rent it, if you are on a console) and except, that it's a matter of taste actually.

I would say it's not the best looking game ever, but if you see it as a Fallout game, i thing it's OK - considering the game engine is not latest technology, so everything has its time...

The bugs are minor compared to battlefield honestly and do not affect that many people, just a select few cases that they will address which is impressive for a game without an open beta

I have had very few bugs and none of them have been major or anything significant. I also have yet to have a single crash. I realize that this is just my experience, but it would seem to me that these claims of the game being horribly bug-ridden is just hyperbole.

This whole crap about game media being only obsessed with money is getting boring.

They're not avid fans like us lot are so of course they're not going to hype themselves up as much or anolyse the previous games as much. Additionally, bugs are now expected in Bethesda sadly - to the point where it doesn't factor into quality of the game anymore (except for game-breaking ones).

Most complaints I've seen are about how hollow and boring the game is. Which compared to FO:NV makes sense, but compared to FO3 not so much. ˉ\_(ツ)_/ˉ

I think many of the criticism on Metacritic are legit, the problem is the scoring of these angry people. Rarely does a game deserves a 0 or a 10. Should we trust reviews? Not really. Not necessarily because they are lying but simply because half of what they say, including that of the "professional" critics, is a matter of opinion, of taste. Many critics and users bashed Risen 1 and I almost fell for it until I played it myself and it turned out to be one of my favorite games. From that moment on I never took reviews as gospel.

I don't trust the game media and I don't trust the user reviews from Metacritic. The game is really good so far in my book and I should have hundreds of hours of entertainment from it (can't be sure yet tstt). Game media only plays for a few days and the user reviews from metacritic have only a few hours of playing. Everything online should be taken with a grain of salt (just like everything in real life). Too many zeros and "worst game ever" to be taken seriously. The title for worst game ever is still firmly held by ET.

If the game were as buggy and terribly designed as the detractors say is obvious, then wouldn't the smart money be on writing reviews to that effect?

Not if the smart money is paying you to say nice things. ;)

People need to chill. Bugs are in EVERY game. They will fix them. I'm 20 hours in and not had an issue I couldn't fix.

Two bugs for me, one was in the quarry where I got this low resolution layer on top, you can walk trough it but not see until inside it.

Had some lighting bugs in the lexinton factory floor, might be too much for graphic card or some feature to avoid lag who freaked out.

Not purely visual as it made it harder to see.

~25 hours in and had my first crash. I′ve had other games that crashed 50 times during that period. Some 3rd person dialogue bugs ( PC does a 180, followed by another ). I seem to be unable to progress the BoS questline for the moment. I wonder if there is a trigger I missed or if it′s bugged. But overall, it′s stable and surprisingly bugfree.
