Game mode-Assault

Post » Thu Nov 11, 2010 11:37 pm

Does no one play this mode? I finally unlocked it and after an hour of trying gave up looking for a round. I was really looking forward to this one and am really dissapointed to not be able to find a single game round. Is the mode really that lousy that no one plays it?

Same story with Classic Mode. I can never get a game, so I give up and go play crash site instead.

Yeah I want classic mode. Nanosuit svcks in multiplayer if you ask me. It increases the luck-factor alot and I just can't get used to it.

I am assuming you are playing on PC, I am playing on the Xbox,

I managed to finaly get into a 3 vs 3 game yesterday and actually found it fairly frustrating. I played 8 rounds and every round ended in a 2 to 2 draw without a winner everytime. It seems that most people ignore the objective and just try to eliminate the enemy players which works for the marines as this is the whole point as a marine, however the team that plays with the nano suit never got the idea that to win as a nano suit you still needed to cap the objective regardless if you eliminate all of the marines! It seems this mode would be awesome if all players actually played the objective but it seems in my limited experience playing this mode most players are using it as a 1 life team deathmatch.

lolwut?

Luck factor? More than anything the nanosuit increases the tactical factor, and maybe even the skill factor in the sense that you need to be able to run, jump, slide, cloak and armour up to avoid dying and get kills.

Don't mistake a broader skillset for a lesser skillset.

I play that all the time on PC. But it is hard to find an assault only server.

Luck factor? Yes, luck factor. If you can't see your enemies you never know where they are. That takes away alot of tactics.

How have you come to that conclusion? Not being able to see people decreases YOUR luck factor of just happening upon someone.

How is it any different from not being able to see someone in CoD or BF who aren't invisible?

All your post says is that you have trouble adapting your playstyle to a new skillset.

As far as I know you can't go invisible in CoD so I like the multiplayer there better.

It said more, but you're actually right. I am having trouble with this new skillset. That was exactly my point.

Assault is lame anyways. Worst spawns in any game I've ever played. More games than not both teams will spawn right next to each other.

And then, if that doesn't happen, and you choose to defend one computer on one end of the map, and the enemy team goes to one on the other end of the map they will have 100% upload before you even get half way because apparently the soldier without a nano suit runs at the speed of a turtle (or the attacking team uploads to fast, whichever..).

So yeah, overall it's the wort, most untested game type I think I've ever experienced in a video game. You're not missing much by not being able to play it.
