This bug is invasive. You cannot go back to a previous save. As fact, I think it may have ruined the entire game on xbox. Bug was a polite word. I should have said virus.
Anyway, for future generations playing, this game should never be played on xbox because you can't fix over half the junk wrong with it. I never got to play Dragonborn. I had just bought that ep.
So I am guessing because it was the only thing I ever stole in the game and not paid fine (I pulled Thanehood instead of paying the fine) or gave it back was the razor thingy at the museum where you have to kill the guy and the daedra puts you together a nice knife out of the stolen goods. Because I could not give that item back it somehow started the spread of the virus against me. The first place I noticed my gold had vanished from my inventory was in that area where I stold that blade hilt.
