Game Plan Today

Post » Sun Aug 29, 2010 7:03 pm

Ok, so I'm sitting here at work just thinking of what I plan on doing tonight when I get home in New Vegas. I typically like to plan ahead as to what quests and things I'll be doing in New Vegas (this should probably fall under the you know you play too much when...)

Anyways, I plan on taking teh Gobi Sniper Rifle that I just picked up last night and head over to the Quarry Junction and blow the **** out of them. Then maybe try and complete Oh My Papa even though I am shunned by the Legion so I'm not sure how I will be able to get that journal from Caesar's tent.

Then maybe I'll roam around and use the Super Sledge hammer that I picked up last night as well and pick some fights with fiends and get my melee fix for the day.

Then my GF will probably [censored] at me for playing to long, and I'll have to get off, but hopefully I'll be able to hit level 21 tonight.

So what about you guys?

Well at the moment I'm finally getting around to experimenting with making weapons. Not because I want/need weapons, but because I'm a little bored and the idea of testing out what weapon ranges and animation speeds and all the other settings really mean in-game intrigued me. It was pretty funny making Arcade's defender have the same distance range as a Sniper Rifle. Educational - in terms of AI/weapon mechanics - too.

I also figured out how to make all the energy weapons not leave goo/ash piles on critical hits (probably old news to more experienced modders) so that one's going to actually be implemented in my game.

...other than that....I'm currently planning out how Boone & I are going to take on Vault 34 while using a spawn mod and low lvl weapons. With the mod, actually have to be a bit cautious now. A bit. Too fun.

Hm... Execute the powder gangers at a certain raid camp.

In slo-motion.

With a Automatic Rifle.

With a bunch of dead NCR bodies next to them.

With AP rounds..

Well start a new character, (great khan roleplay. :D) Then, while struggling with finding water, complete various missions. Just another New Vegas day...

We'll confront Chief Hanlon at Camp Golf and have a better ending with him than before.

Last night I cleared out the Quarry, good fun and a little tense. I'm kinda stuck at the moment. I ruined this playthrough by siding with Yes Man before I did more exploring and questing, now I am either hated or shunned by everyone - the NCR harasses me. I did a few more good deeds for them but I am still labeled Dark Hero. I hit lvl 35 a few days back and I think I'm about through all the locations. I may go pick up the last two companions for the achievement, but this character is done until the DLC comes out (all 37 bars of gold are on the bed). Have a level 15 char that I am running through on normal (no hardcoe) with the wild wasteland trait, but it hasn't been very "wild". Hate to say it, but it might be COD BO for the next few nights.

That sounds fun I wish I could do stuff like that. I use a PC, I'm just an r-tard though and have no knowledge on how to mod nor do I have the time unfortunatly.

I'll probably go and hunt down some legion as an offering to the Numb God Boone...Luckily with the mark of Caesar shooting any patrol doesn't mean Caesar is going to hate me later on.

Needing to find decent armour as I'm nearly level 20 and STILL haven't taken off the Vault armour of Doc Mitchell.

May go extract holy revenge on someone but can't think of anyone who has wronged me apart from Benny(His voice actor spent too much time for me to murder him)

Although Fallout:New Vegas wins in terms of technical stuff and a better story I am starting to miss the Music and the atmosphere of Fallout 3.

Really where can you get this?

Hahaha dude I'm level 21 and I still rock casual wear everywhere! Except when I go up against deathclaws then I bust out some combat armor.

It's main quest related. The Legion will still attack you but from Cottonwood Cove they won't and Caesar will never mention you killing hundreds of troops and leaving Dinky's on their chests

I was hoping I'd find some skeleton with some good armour so far I found some BOS members but have not received training yet.

The NCR safehouse has some good trooper armor (if you're in with them). You might go to ranger station Charlie near Novac. You can take two sets of NCR armor out of there for free.

Thanks very much...I'm still annoyed New Vegas doesn't have a Elvis Suit Power Armour though...

 An ironic punishment for a powder ganger boss, one thinks.

My plan is to see if I stick with my merchant build.
Or go for my big gun only totting hiver heavy, and seeing what slag I can lob at foes.

Apart from that see if I can make a character that looks like me...
You know either a 6 7 dude ripped with mucles and skin liked oiled chocolate.
Or a 5 11, greek godess.

I want to start working with the Khans to get some help at the Dam (which will be waaaay overly easy at this point, but who cares if a few suicide bombers are with me), and make a choice of whether to kill Mr. House directly prior to the last mission and work with Yes Man to get an independent Vegas, or stay loyal to him since I'll probably do Yes Man next playthrough.

I spent a couple hours FT-ing all over the place trying to get a video that captures the Increased Wasteland Spawn mod feeling, and failed. Oh sure there were big bunches of monsters here and there etc. but the video never came out right. *shakes fist*

Plan?
I just create my character and roll with it.
If I remember that I want to go get something then I'll do it on a whim.
Not big on planning it out really.
Feels very linear.

I messed up and destroyed my power cord for the PC so I started a new game on the PS3 so I could play until a new one is delivered.

It was fun to be new and fresh again and so greeeeen. I'm using broken Boone and ED-E and tonight we help the Bright Brotherhood ghouls at RepCONN find a new world.

Poor Boone, he's trying his hardest but those inner 'evaluate package' demons just screw up his combat skills. I miss the old Boone.

This time I ignored the voice on the intercom and just searched the building for loot first. His taunts just rolled off my back. :) It was good to change it up a bit.

Same here, but I was disappointed I didn't get the antler dialogue this time - just combat :sadvaultboy:

I started a second file. On that, I'm planning on completing "Heartache by the Number", "You Can Depend on Me", the missions in Bitter Springs and "I Forgot to Remember to Forget". That's all I can think of at the moment, but I believe there were other things I wanted to do as well.
