Game settings reset after game restart : Fallout 4

Hi guys,

My game settings such as hud colors, audio settings, etc.. do not save

They simply reset after I restart the game.

I checked all three .ini files in my games\fallout 4 folder to make sure they are not set to read only, but it did not help.

Any ideas whats wrong?

Mine did it on console once too

Console or PC?

If PC, maybe there's an .ini that got deleted or set to read-only.

I'm just speculating.

PC

Ensure all three ini files are as you want them
Enter game, open console, type refreshini
You should see the changes you wish
Save game. Reload.
This one time force loading of my changed ini files has done the trick for me - but as with all things, YMMV

My music keeps turning back on. My other stuff stays the same though.
