Game starting place confirmed!

Post » Fri Sep 16, 2011 8:38 am

We know the game starts with the main character being led to his death, but many people have been curious as to where this will take place, and how you escape. Well, the main character starts the game near or in a town called Helgen, which is attacked by a dragon, and during the turmoil, the last remaining blade helps the main character to escape from Helgen, and then tells you to seek out Alvor in Riverwood as your first MQ contact, similar to Jauffre in Weynon Priory. You,re welcome!

I'll lay money on another leak from TGS, if this is right. It at least sounds fairly plausible.

Unfortunately the source cannot be linked without thread-locking, so as to avoid moderator suspicion, let's just say a little birdie told me

Seriously, post *spolier* in the title or the opening sentence, Some of us don't want to know the stroyline until the game is released! :verymad:

Thankfully I realised halfway through the first sentance it was going to be a *BIG* spoiler and stopped reading.

What the hell did you think it would be about if it says "Game Starting Place confirmed"?

It honestly doesn't sound made up, but if it is, kudos for creativity. :icecream:

Some of us use the 'Next'/'Previous' topic buttons and therefore don't look at titles properly before opening them.

Why would it incur a lock? Does it have illegal scans? If so, copy the text of the page into the thread.

I remember seeing this exact same speculation a month or so back on a less desireable forum of the internet (excluding the names of towns and such)

Well in that case, putting spoiler in the title wouldn't do any good at all, since you wouldn't take the time to read it.

Oh great, another Arena take the information of a conspiracy given to you by a crazy spirit lady and save the Emperor.
Oh great, another Daggerfall do what the Emperor requested and learn of the King's death.
Oh great, another Morrowind take the package and go to Balmora.

What is stopping you from saying: Forget that! I've got my freedom, I'm doing whatever the hell I want? Absolutely nothing that's what.

Edit* ^ Yeah, that is kind of the point. Even Ken Rolston says one of his biggest regrets with Morrowind was not making the main quest more urgent. Otherwise most players never even bother to finish it.

Same thing with Daggerfall too- See so-and-so, except in Daggerfall, if you don't, you can't complete the main quest.
