Game starting too stutter. :(

I'd say i've played for 300 hours overall, however, i've only stayed with one character for 30 hours at most, usually playing as an energy weapons specialist so ash/goo piles do pile up overtime.

I heard that the game suffers from storing alot of data overtime whch adds up constantly, eventually causing game slowdown/stuttering which is incredibly fustrating as i would like a smooth gaming experience but i'm denied that recently as the performance has gone downhill.

I've tried clearing my xbox's cache but that's done nothing, and what's weird is that when i turn on new vegas for a night's session the game runs smoothly for about 10 mins, then proceeding to stutter as i explore the mojave desert, there's no lag indoors, only outdoors. The only thing i haven't done is deleting new vegas from my hard drive and installing again, but i bet that would do nothing to help.

So am i to suffer this bad framerate/stuttering for ever now? or is there anything at all that i can do? i love this game and until last week i was really enjoying it but the stuttering is really making me not want to play it anymore. :sadvaultboy:

Start a new game and see if it continues. If so, then its not the game.

I make new saves all the time, my disc is not scratched either. Still stutters quite often. I own the ultimate edition if that helps.

Don't use the Autosave features, they corrupt over time and introduce these issues.

Yes, playing a tidy game can help, but that is mostly making sure enemies weapons are not laying around after a battle and not throwing cans all over the place.

Finally, one thing to consider, is your Xbox getting dusty? It could be an overheating issue. Get a can of compressed air, take the console outside, and blow out the dust. I don't know if you will have to open the case to get it all out. If you do, just be careful and what you blow air on.

So turning of autosave can possibly reduce stuttering? even completely deleting old saved playthroughs the game still lags, does the game store all of this data overtime even after deleting old saves? many people have said the longer you play the worse the lag gets, even when deleting all saves and starting fresh.
