Hey-

Help please. I've put in about 38 hours and suddenly the game has stopped working. I load the game and get to the opening screen where I click Load and load the last save.

Then it starts loading for 10 seconds or so then the game exits out automatically.

What information can I provide to help resolve this and why is it happening now... If I recall I was just standing at Red Rocket which is where I usually return to save before I exit.

The game didn't crash, I saved and exited like I usually did.. now it just won't load... this is frustrating... someone please help.

Can it be a bad save? What about loading older saves?

This happened to me, it was indeed a corrupt save in my case.

I'd also try a previous save. Or even try loading a much older save and then once in game, load your current save and see if that works.

How many saves do you have? Don't rely on quicksave and autosave. You must make new manual saves along the way.

did you download new graphics drivers in the meanwhile, add new mods, or did anything to any ini files/settings when this happened?

If yes, try to revert those changes. If not, then it's just an unfortunate corrupt save issue OR you can try downloading new graphic drivers/validate files/reinstall to try and fix it.

Do note that changing things if you didn't change anything could potentially make things worse.
