Game suddenly got too easy at the 45+ level

Post » Fri Jan 22, 2016 2:29 am

Yeah. Big John's Salvage is where the really tough supermutants that level up with you hang out.

Later on in my game it's a crew of Warlords.

I don't wear much armour these days so a battle with them can take too long so to make it more fun i sometimes go there and provoke them.

When done properly they all follow me to the nearby Jamaica Plains settlement where the settlers and settlement defences join in the battle.

Maybe for you guys it's too easy but for me it's not. I'm all for people having harder difficulty levels if that's what they want though.

Your just big on saying something like this arnt you? Do you know why forums are around? There not there just for praise, there is a thing called constructive criticism. Telling someone to find something else etc. Is not constructive.

Hey OP, are you melee?

Also wait for you to hit 50 - 51 and hope for a re-spawn of enemies, I think you may be presently surprised. Unless you do not like bullet sponges.

Bar that. When the CK/GECK comes out I have a feeling there will be a proper difficulty increase mod which will follow it. I myself am going to be working on AI packages. Been studying old scripting for Skyrim for this. Anyways, Cheers

I also found myself in the same situation starting lvl 30, eventhough I only chose non combat relate perks like gun nuts (except for sneak). Then after a few level, different types of enemy suddenly spawn, tanker and deals a lot more damage, Spectacle Island was really fun for me, my sniper deals 20% of a normal mirelurk's health, I used well over 500 .45 bullets, 25 mines/grenades, and shietloads of stim and still died more than couple of time, this is probably cuz I only use 1 gun, wear what looks good and no power armor, but hey, it's fun :)

Most likely your perk turns your game inside out.

This is why I always carefully read before assigning a point at a Perk.

Iam newbie Modder and not a Wizzard or Developer. Ofcourse its possible just to speed up the Movement Animations but better Tactics? I dont like bulletsponge too. I already play with a higher Damage multiplier for the Player. But this means the Amount of Enemies must be increased to but this is only possible with GECK

Thats an badass Example. Even if you dont hit the Bomb these Scumbags explode.

In my game I have finally gotten to the point where more powerful enemies has started to appear; level 72 survival.

I think it is now time to retire my trusty fully modded .38 auto pipe rifle for something that is a little more powerful, and I will finally take a serious look into modding my armor. I am just a bit surprised that it took so long for me to retire a weapon that is basically widely available at the start of the game.

I guess I will sift through all the legendary weapons I have accumulated to see which are best for my style of play.

I'm running around in vanilla silver shroud duds and a rifle that deals about 80 dmg, and no sneak usage.

Enemies are much better at getting the drop on you in this game.

I have to

- wear nothing heavier than clothing (like outfits, hats, bandanas, etc.)
- use nothing harder than one-handed melee (am using the baton these days)
- play on survival
- don't use companions, although sometimes I roll with Dogmeat for RP reasons.

The second I pick up a rifle the whole game becomes a faceroll snoozefest, sadly.

Strange. Around lvl 50 at least new supermutant enemies shoud appear. I was surprised when I hit lvl 48 how many bullets with my two-shot CR it suddenly needed to kill the foes. The game is hard enough for me. But I have only the weapon perk maxed (Rifleman 5) and will not invest in other damage perks. I also try to keep my TP low.

I'm curious as to what one expects from any kind of mod that changes difficulty? It's just going to be the same as we have now, or don't have if you avoid taking certain perks.

Mods will most likely not be able to change the Ai, which is what is needed the most. After all the years with modding for Oblivion, F3 and FNV we never really got a better Ai.

Mods that exists, and will exist, just increase and decrease values. In the end all they do is push forward the inevitable: you WILL get stronger than the strongest enemy. It does not matter if you increase the level of an enemy, increase their dps, lower the values your perks gives you, etc. It's the same changes as always.

<That's said I personally think that ballistic weave shouldn't have been in the game. It's just way too overpowered.>

its a matter of perception. I just dont like hanging and prancing on for hours before a minelurk-queen finally goes down . I like it when I squeeze a 6 nuke MIRV tightly in her . so it remains , my spent 50 dollars v/s your 50 dollars ..approx . price of the game I mean.

I only expect the appearance of stronger enemies. Not as a substitute for existing enemies but as new ones. Different name, different look, different equipment. Please no ordinary bandits (raiders) in top gear armor like in Oblivion. But strong new bandits/raiders. Old and strong new enemies should exist together for the rest of the game. Like in deleveled classic games. So you are partly in godmode because you deserve it after leveling but there are still some guys/gals who make you sweat.

I'm playing on very hard and I felt the same way once I hit the 40s but trust me it gets a lot harder in the 50s. I was one shotting everything with my sniper rifle and the perks to go with that style gameplay and I thought I was way to OP until recently I hit level 51 and I've been dying a lot more considering I've only died twice Up until that point

It'll still be the same thing, after another 20-30 levels you want even more powerful and different looking enemies with new equipment. And after another 20 levels, the cycle repeats. Since this is not a mmorpg, one can't expect this from Bethesda. Modders will be able to change this but as I said, it will still be the same old thing.

most enthusiast fallout 4 players use the mod to balance end game damage. in other words, enemies aren't bullet sponges and are able to deal decent damage to you.

Modded PC here, it's not that it's easy it just depends on who hits first. If my aim is off and I get hit I'll go down fast.

It gets harder again, keep playing! ;P

I found that as I approached and passed 70, the difficulty suddenly cranked back up again. I had to backpedal again, which I hadn't done for a while. On Survival, also.

How can you guys auto nerf yourselves ?

It doesn't make any sense for me. I worked hard to level up, to get the best perks, to get the best armor in the game, to farm the legendary weapon...all of that to just throw them all away afterwards ? What is the use of getting them in the first place ?

I hope that once geck comes out a proper difficulty mod comes out.

Game has become easier for my character, at Level 52, though still take considerable damage from supernatant suicide-bombers and the rolling machine-gun robots. Weapon of choice has become a modified assault weapon firing .556. Sadly, the ammunition has become less available.

Also, somehow irritated some cat in Diamond City by killing a relative, so about every third visit there are two to three hitmen waiting for me. Oddly enough, the town guard just lets the gunfight happen, unless of course one of my stray rounds strikes someone besides a triggerman ... then the whole town is out to murder my character.

I'm at level 41 and the game has gotten easier, but it is because I choose to take perks that maximize my damage output, and damage resistance. I also choose weapons that either give greater damage or assist me in my play style. This isn't the fault of the developers, but the beauty of the system. Combat is easy because I chose to make it so. On the flip side, convincing people to do things for me in speech is not so easy because I don't have perks in those categories... yet.

I get the feeling, as some other posters, that you now have the BEST armor and the BEST weaponry and ALL the perks now you're complaining that your enemies are too easy. Of course they're too easy! You're overpowered.

It's that way with every Bethesda game.

Rest assured though that, once you're past 60 or so, you'll run in to more challenges. Trying taking on 6 Supermutant Overlords with Fatmen and a horde of glowing hounds. You'll be challenged.

We had 2 behemoth come in with that crew, so, it wasn't easy.
