Fallout 4 without a doubt.
Fallout 4 without a doubt.
How many people have actually finished a complete run through of fallout 4 to say that its GOTY, maybe at the end of the year id give an opinion.
The Witcher 3. It felt like a journey and in general, made me feel.. a lot. Coming from the Witcher 2, it was quite unexpected. I think that's why it's my GOTY.
Fallout 4, i'm not saying it's perfect, and there are things about the game that i don't like, but it's better than anything else released this year,
i'm up to about 100 hours in the game so far, and while i'm not quite as hooked as i was with Skyrim, i'm not bored either like i got with GTA V single player after only about 30 hours, i didn't play MGS V or the Witcher 3 as i'm not a fan of those series. the only other games i played quite a bit of this year was Mad Max and AC Rogue and while i enjoyed both, neither are as good as Fallout 4 imo.
I've actually not played any of this years video games, but judging from what I've read and heard from friends who have played various ones, I'd have to give the nod to The Witcher 3. Really wish I had the money for it, I absolutely believe I'd enjoy it very, very much.
Now, if you count the fact that Path of Exile overhauled large portions of it's game systems throughout this year, and released a major expansion that added an entire new act, I'd actually give the nod to it. A wonderful game, very addictive, and everything that Diablo 3 should have been as the successor to Diablo 2.
I can't vote. I haven't bought any new games this year. But, from what I've read, I suspect I'd probably vote for Fallout 4.
I've only played one game that has been released this year and it's Fallout 4. So my choice is Fallout 4.
I'm not surprised to see Fallout4 leading here, since this is a Bethesda forum full of Bethesda fans.
I'm not voting, because I haven't played any of the games in the poll, but based on the footage I'd seen of the games, I suspect that Witcher3 may earn more of a nod from those who actually have the power to award the title.
I'd also say that, based on what I've seen of Witcher3 and Fallout4 (in its present state), Witcher3 is the one I'm most tempted to buy. And this is speaking as one who is not a fan of games with fixed protagonists, and who doesn't even particularly like Geralt. Of course, part of that is because Witcher3 is on sale right now at half price.
Bloodborne for me. But Fallout 4 would be my second choice.
Another vote for Rocket League. The game is simple enough anyone can get into it. Yet it also has a high degree of difficulty to get really good. It's fun as hell too.
TW3. I won't be playing Fallout 4 as it looks like a gimped version of FO3.
I've hardly played any proper games this year. Only Dragon Age Inquisition and Far Cry 4 I think, but they were both great.
I'm not very enthusiastic about this generation and Fallout 4 isn't enough to make me buy a new system. I am going to wait until VR shakes out, and get the best system for that after the dust has settled.
My vote goes to Pillars of Eternity also. It is by far the best game I have played all year.
Shower With Your Dad simulator 2015 is the only game worthy of GOTY 2015.
I've played quite a few great games this year, but there are three in particular that I cannot decide between.
Dying Light - This game was a massive surprise for me, I thought it was great
Life Is Strange - Another one that I didn't expect would sway my opinion at all, it was one hell of a ride and definitely a great experience
Bloodborne - Having just finished Dark Souls 2 before trying this, I was certainly not expecting to get a ton of enjoyment out of another "Souls" style game so quick. However, it proved to be quite thrilling
Overall, if I was forced to choose, I'd say Life Is Strange is likely the ultimate choice for me.
TBF Fallout 4 hasn't lived up to the hype...and if it wasn't for the hype, it'd have probably fell flat. Thank the HL3 meme for the help.
None of the games this year really stood out at all.
Hardly the case is you look at sales. FO4 has had far more marketing. The reason Witcher 3 gets more credit is for being better technically (less bugs, accomplishing more new feats, better visually, faster and less frequent loading), and having better dialogue. The rest is more subjective.
I think Fallout 4 will definitely win a GOTY, haven't yet played it but I've heard good things. MGSV I think deserves some recognition on not only the story but the game play and open world structure to it, so I think it deserves to win.
