Title says all. I listed 3 most likely candidates for GOTY. So yeah, lets see.

Witcher 3. Eh boy. Witcher, witcher, witcher, overrated witcher.
For me no game gets Game of the Year
FO4, W3, Mad Max, and Rebel Galaxy gets my Games of the Year award.
I haven't finished the story line. As far as being a personal, impactful game, Undertale is winning for me.
I dont think MGS should be a contender in comparison but that could be just my opinion. At least its not like the last guy that made this poll that included Battlefront and Black ops III lol
I do enjoy FO4 very much and I have no doubt that in time it will be worthy of game of the year however I don't think a game deserves that title when it is as broken as FO4 is for so many people. Right now I would say Witcher 3 because I loved the story and the characters but I did hate the combat. Actually I haven't loaded up the game since I finished it so maybe I should rethink my vote.
you have to remember though, there isn't just 1 universal GOTY.
every website or magazine gives out their own GOTY award, so its very likely all of the choices within the OP poll will receive at least 1 GOTY award (which is why you see multiple games released within the same year saying "game of the year")..
as for what I think should get a GOTY award this year? well, hard to say, haven't purchased a large number of games this year.. most disaapointing game though, I could certainly see a few contenders
Bloodborne is my game of the year, chalice dungeons were pretty bleh but besides that the game was spectacular. Just couldn't get into Witcher 3, after playing Bloodborne Geralt controled like a pile of bricks and never really liked the premade character, really hate the VO aswell. Will probably give it another chance at some point though. Haven't played the new MGS but i really like FO4 so that would be my runner up.
Why so, out of interest?
Whilst it was clearly unfinished storywise - chapter 2 was disappointing in it's length and one story arc was clearly left hanging- the gameplay mechanics were sublime.
In addition, I thought it was a treat visually too.
Personally, I'd still go for Witcher 3, though all three - Witcher 3, MGS5 and Fallout 4 - are all top notch gaming experiences.
This won't be biased at all lol.
But FO4 for me, no question.
Does not matter voting here.. Witcher 3 is allready won GOTY by Globe Game Awards(and will win others too no daubt) . If Bethesda made as much effort as for marketing , maybe F4 would have chance for GOTY .
It's kind of a three-way battle between Bloodborne, The Witcher III, and Shadowrun: Hong Kong for me.
No GOTY for me yet this year. Only games I've purchased (well game to be precise) didn't come out this year.
Dishonored 2. Oh wait. Dammit. Uuuhhhh I don't know...
Shame it ain't comin' out this year, it could have been a contender for me too. Same with XCOM 2, Dark Souls III, Salt and Sanctuary, No Man's Sky...oh well, at least next year is looking promising, and it's better to not rush for a Christmas release.
MGSV. Or Bloodborne.
I've obessivley played both, so I dont know which one I like the most. (Cthulu Mythos the game or sixy old men in eye patches)
And LOL, people who are like MGSV dosen't deserve to be on a list...
It sold over eight million copies, scored 91 above on metacritic, and is beloved for it's gameplay (story issues aside) it more then deserves being an option, if not a winner.
