That was very well done. The show is very good. The books are even better.

That was awesome, and made me realize how awesome the palaces in Skyrim are (Even without the little mechanical things.)

it has been a while since I read the books and saw the series, but I think season 4 = second half of book 3

even if I'm right you might still get spoilers from the series, such as

Spoiler
the new Reek is Theon Greyjoy's new identity
and
Spoiler
the man who helps Daenerys being the renagade Sir Barristan Selmy

QFT.

I watched the first season, and the first two episodes of the second. Then I grew tired of the tendency to use scenes where men explained things to women while having six with them, preferably from behind. Ok, there's much six in the books as well, but not in the same way. In the TV series, it just feels like a really clumsy excuse to show [censored] as a cheap way to get more people to watch.

But the intro is wonderful. And mostly, it IS a good show. I guess I'm just the kind of person who prefers books.

It's a HBO series, but yeah... I usually just ignore those parts, just as anything else I dont like

Yeah the nudity is pointless most of the time during the show. I think HBO has done a great job adapting the story for TV, but obviously the books are far superior. I just finished re-reading books 1-5 and loved them even more the second time around. :)

as a guy who hasn't read the books, yet. (i'm actually trying to see if i can get them right now.) i like the fact that the nudity is just matter-of-fact, which, it was in real history. as well, some of the serious brutality and bluntness of it are well-done. i'm not saying it's all greatly portrayed, but, watching dragon lady's expression of being a piece of sixual meat initially and loving the guy later is a good example of the change that took place in their relationship.

as well, some of the scenes are just plain funny or lighthearted.

i'm not saying it's always well-done, but, it does have it's moments and doesn't make me think latenight skinemax.

That was pretty damn awesome, I'm fans of both. :D
I've not read any of the books, I've only seen the TV series from Season 1 to 3.

The Elder Scrolls was one of the appeals for me getting into it. I always referred to Ned Stark as Martin Septim.

That was epic!!

The sixposition is indeed tiresome and juvenile. I think my bigger criticism is the departures they've taken on character arcs. They should trust their material more, since it's almost always better than what's presented. Some episodes feel like nothing more than costume drama.

Read the books, though, people!

I loathe the changes to Littlefinger and Stannis the Mannis the most.

Littlefinger was way more cunning in the books.

Stannis the Mannis wasn't drkdeth evil, either.

The nudity is a bit out of place at times(like they go out of their way to show it even though it does nothing to advance the plot), but the characters and story are great. Must see/read IMO

The one episode I saw (at a friends) had a lot (of six). It's been a while, I recall there was this tribal orgy with some people called Dothraki (sp) when they were giving a young blonde-haired girl to the chief. I might consider reading the books.
