Ditto. I think that HBO is trying to bring in a new audience with the porm (it's literal porm), but they pushed me away from the TV series with it...

Yeah, and am I the only person who didn't think the Renly was gay in the books??? When I watched the show for the first time I had to reread the first book, and there still wasn't anything about Renly that made me think he was gay... And Littlefinger is a jerk in the TV series, but more sly in the books.

i must really not have payed attention when i first watched the first 2 seasons because i only saw a few nvde scenes. there were the scenes i talked about earlier with danearys? dragon lady when khal treated her like meat and a couple other funny scenes.

the ones i saw seemed to fit the time and era the story is set and not just silly, ridiculous made for tv porm......

Well the one with Theon (don't want to spoil it , but I'm pretty sure it's in season 2). I thought that that wasn't well done. And at the beginnining of season 1 (might have even been the first episode) where he asked that girl on the wagon to show her lannister lion (eufemizm) to him for a peice of gold. I'm not sayin that this is like full on pormography, but it's just these little un needed scenes that are trying to get the male viewers aroused... I don't want to start a huge debate or anything, but thats just my opinion

They were just showing how big of a horndog theon is, it's just part of his character. His behavior is meant to be somewhat repulsive. He has flaws like all the other characters.

The thing that bothered me about Daenerys' wedding night on the show was it wasn't like that in the book - from what I remember she was afraid and Khal Drogo kinda just hung out with her (without words) until she actually felt safe enough to say yes. Maybe not the most realistic thing (this happening over an evening) and it's pretty clear he isn't exactly a gentle lover, but very different to the tv version where he pretty much forced himself on her, IIRC.

 Wow. I wouldn't complain if they were a little anachronistic in that area.

Martin drops hints here and there during the books through Margaery Tyrell mostly IIRC, but its not as blatant as a BJ or armpit shaving scene like on the show.

I've just finished the 6th book, and have watched all three seasons, and I don't particularly have a preference to either the book or the TV series, I think both are great, although not all but some changes the TV series make are for the better, characters like Shae have been improved I think.

Cool intro also, one thing that I wish Elder Scrolls V had in common with Game of Thrones is in the battle strategies, as the civil war questline is essentially meeting at an opened fort and killing everything.

I forgot to ask, what does the intro have in common with GoT? I literally know nothing about the books/show. And what's the the significance of the Dwemer tech?

I just started the first season, I'm glad I did, though it is kinda awkward watching the nvde scenes with my mom, I picked it up for a movie night. We both love it, but those scenes are a little overdone.
