Game of Thrones intro done in Skyrim

Essentially a soap opera with swords and tittle-tattle + insane people. Don't see anything original.

Not in my opinion. Solitude holds that honor as being captial of skyrim. Windhelm is one of the oldest cities and main HQ of the stomcloaks. Whiterun is of course the most popular but that is probably just because it is located in the center of skyrim.

It's the Winterfell of Skyrim. It's in the middle of Skyrim, the first city you see, and the trad capital of the province... it's just our own opinions though. But if Bethesda did do an opening like GoT, Whiterun would be the main city (although they most likely aren't doing an opening like this)

It's pop because it's the next biggest thing you see after wandering aimlessly from Riverwood onward. Also The Lord of the Rings.

Which characters do you consider to be insane?

I have no idea, I once saw 5 mins or less of an episode and there was this lunatic woman feeding a grown up boy with her briast and was screaming. I couldn't even.

Ahh ok. I always value the opinion of people who don't know what they are talking about.

Aerys Targaryen, Lysa Arryn and Ramsay Snow come to mind. Also, in my opinion, Joffrey Baratheon.

Ramsey Snow is definately "Out to Lunch".

I think Joffrey is just a Sadistic little :swear: .

Aerys was definitely crazy. Lysa, Ramsay, and Joffrey are just extremely cruel in their own ways.

I think only people who have read the books could sympathize with Viserys. Given his Targaryen blood and some of the stuff he went through in his childhood I can understand him.

So far it seems the show is trying hard to redeem Cersei by making Joffery responsible for some of the things that she actually does in the books.

Come to think of it, you're right, lol! This show is full of crazies!

I've read the books and I have hated him with a passion. I mean just the way he treats his sister alone... He's a crazy, imbred little c**t!! Dany turned out ok, but Viserys was just a d***. I loved the scene in the show when Drogo gave him his crown... That part was way better than the book

I think they did fine ending with Windhelm, with the snow and lit-up Palace of Kings being the last bit you see of Skyrim.

5 minutes is hardly enough time to form an opinion of one of the most beloved book series in fantasy, what some critics call "the American Tolkien." ASoIaF is different in that it moved fantasy literature away from the typical elves and dwarves stuff. GRRM said his wife persuaded him to include dragons. It's low fantasy, where magic is almost invisible in the world, so the focus is the political, social and familial side. Yet it's removed from any kind of historical fiction associations, so he has more freedom with the storytelling. The TV series does play up the six and horror aspects, for the usual reasons- ratings and so on.

He's crazy cause that's how Targaryens (and all inbreeds) who suffer stressful situations usually become. If these Valyrian idiots didn't sleep with their sisters for thousands of years maybe the Targaryen dynasty wouldn't have gone klutz and still be on the Iron throne but noooo Aegon insisted on continuing that nasty tradition of sister screwing when there were many women like Argella Durrendon or Sharra Aryn whom he could have married.

Danys only turned out ok because her childhood burdens were all placed upon her brother, she didn't really lose anything and wasn't constantly humiliated by everyone around them. Yet in Dance of the Dragons it she appears to be spiraling down the same path as him unsurprisingly because she has to deal with hard predicaments as a queen now. Even Aerys II was great ruler too until the Darklyn incident messed him up.

Only hope for Westeros now is Stannis, but thanks to the War of Five Kings, the Boltons and all that derp, it looks like it's going to be Valar Morghullis for everyone.

Great vid.

Not into the show since it can't be watched with the family. Son is into it though, which would bother me, but then I did read Robert Adam's Horseclan books when I was in college and those were ... well pretty graphic.
