Game of Thrones mixed with Skyrim

Post » Sat May 11, 2013 3:54 am

I was thinking of making a new rp which mixes Game Of Thrones and Skyrim, I was going to be from Winterfell (Windhelm) and be a part of Rob Starks Army against the Lannisters (Join the Stormcloaks) and will probably use the Dawnguard Heavy armour as that resembles the armour from GOT the most anyone have a some suggestions that might help or reasons not to do this?

I'm really tired of this Game of Thrones hype.

There, I said it.

Maybe if it wasn't so fracking smutty, I'd actually sit down and watch it.

If your on the PC there are Game of Throne shields and armor sets. Really cool stuff. I like the Stark Shields.

Game of Thrones is one of very few phenomena that really deserve all the hype they get. I'm talking about the books of course, although the show is very good too.

I honestly don't know how you're going to RP it since there are no Lannisters or Starks in Skyrim, but suit yourself. I'd think that a strategy game like modified Crusader Kings 2 would be a better choice if you want to relive Game of Thrones events. Or heck, maybe even play Game of Thrones - Genesis? Though I have no idea if it's any good.

That can be debatable, honestly I can see why someone doesn't like it since the writing isn't fantastic (it's better than the books though) also there is a mod for Crusader Kings 2 that places westeros in the game and a GoT total conversion mod.

If you want to play a Game of thrones character do the following

1. Eat a ton of food
2. Drink a lot
3. Kill a lot of things
4. womanize
5. repeat
6. ???
7. Profit

Which part of GoT books isn't fantastic?

Alright, recent Daenerys chapter are rather lame...

But yeah, your summary of typical GoT activites sounds about right. If you want to strictly follow the rules, add point 7: die.

The scary thing is that in the first book she is 13 when she marries Drogo. :yuck:

Girls and boys use to get married off as soon as they hit puberty in real life, the marriage age being 18 is a pretty new thing since it's only about..a few hundred years old I think.

Have you read the books? I can think of one pretty big reason not to do this, but I'm not about to spoil it.

Vikings on History Channel reminds me more of Skyrim than anything, IMO.

Read the books then, they have the story without the fan service six scenes.

Except modern skyrim is more likely to be like Scandinavia AFTER the age of the vikings.

Just saying. That's the vibe I get from it. Every time I watch Vikings, it makes me want to play Skyrim.
