I noticed that in the television series Cersei keeps referring to having a child which was a miscarriage or died in childbirth that had Robert's black hair. Does this happen in the book?

Not unless I completely missed it...I think not. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It didn't. I think it's part of the plan to make her seem nicer, or at least less hated right off the bat.

As far as I remember in the book the only thing mentioned in that general area was
Spoiler
That Robert got her pregnant once, but she got it "taken care of" as soon as she realised.

Well, tonight's episode was pretty damn good. Tyrion's "confession" had me rolling.

I tried to watch Episode 7, but I kept having connection issues. I guess it's because of the storms we're having right now. I managed to watch about forty minutes, and I've given up. It's quite good as well, I only wish I could see what happens.

Everyone is having problems supposedly due to tons of people trying to use it RIGHT AFTER episode 6 aired.

Also,

Bronn is awesome <3

Loved the episode. Dany is awesome, Tyrion's confession is even awesomer than I remember it being (I couldn't stop laughing at the turtle soup), Bron is badassitude incarnate. The little bit with Roz was also hilarious, I'm glad they gave Esme (the actress) a bigger role. Only downside is that it seemed to go past even faster than ever D:

Spoiler
Did anyone else feel really sorry for Viserys? As much of a monster as he was, seeing him reduced to pleading like that at the end... that got to me. If they can make me feel emotional over the death of a person like that, I wonder how I'm going to feel at the end of next week's episode (assuming it ends the way I suspect it will).

I watched a few episodes and I'm totally lost. I can't figure out who is who and who is on what side.

I didn't in the book, but the series really humanized him for me. I can't say I felt sorry for him, but I didn't get the 'that [censored] deserved it' feeling I was expecting.
7 ends with Ned's capture (its aired early on HBOGO). 8 is probably him in the dungeons, and I believe 9 (titled "Baelor," as in the Sept) is the one where he dies.

Try the http://viewers-guide.hbo.com/game-of-thrones/. Its got family trees, locations, and history. Really handy.

The interwebs are saying that ep 7 is amazing. I need HBOGO :sadvaultboy:

Watch the on demand specials on each of the houses and minor house. That will show you who is who.

It broke me up, man. Viserys was my second favourite character after Tyrion. I was coming down off a [censored]load of whipped cream canisters while watching it, and it was so tense when Viserys died I nearly cried. Poor Viserys. I'm still depressed after watching it. Why didn't you take the dragon eggs and flee Viserys. Why!?!? ;_;

They really make some of the locations a lot smaller than I thought of them being. I get that it's probably a budget thing, but the throne room and the Dothraki feast area were tiny compared to the way I pictured them, and Robert's hunt looked ridiculous with just the 4 of them traipsing through the woods.

I thought the same thing. The throne room at the Eyrie wasn't how I pictured it at all, and the Dothraki feast was (IIRC) described as being a lot bigger in the book.

Also, again, where in the seven hells are the wolves!?!? I was looking forward to the scene where
Spoiler
the wildling thieves that attack Bran get their butts chewed off by Summer and Grey Wind.
I mislike this lupine exclusion very much. The writers must needs represent them in the story or I shall be quite wroth with them indeed.

I gather they had a lot of problems working with the dogs. It's a shame, though. I miss the wolves, too, and I get the feeling that a lot of viewers who have never read the books are forgetting about them completely.

I haven't read the books and I've been missing them too, especially the one that saved Bran.

I'm actually not missing the wolves at all  It would have been nice to see them more, but at this point I wold be just as happy not having seen them to begin with. Other than the whole
Spoiler
warging thing with Bran
, they aren't all that important to the story imo. But I'd be happy ditching the fantasy elements completely and having it be pseudo-historical fiction.
