I'm actually not missing the wolves at all  It would have been nice to see them more, but at this point I wold be just as happy not having seen them to begin with. Other than the whole
, they aren't all that important to the story imo. But I'd be happy ditching the fantasy elements completely and having it be pseudo-historical fiction.
The thing is, all of the Stark children
Spoiler (the ones that survive with their wolves, anyway) do the warging thing at some point, to one degree or another. And the re-emergence of subtle magical/fantastical elements is one of the things they can hardly leave out - Daenerys' dragons being both the trigger for, and one of the major examples of that.
They're fitting a lot of material into relatively short episodes, so I'm inclined to think certain things (like the direwolves) will just be given more or less attention from episode to episode anyway. I wonder if the scene in the Wolfswood would simply have been too difficult to shoot, what with two direwolves and half a dozen actors in an action scene all at once.
haha, the hunting scene was hilarious. 4 dudes tramping through the woods, two with boar spears, one in full plate and one carrying a small stopper of wine.
Heh, that scene was mildly ridiculous. I'm nonplussed as to what they're trying to do with Renly in this series...
